Summer is almost over, how dramatic! 😫 Wouldn’t a movie under the stars with friends and family be just perfect to enjoy with some frozen paletas before it’s too cold out?
The Tobin Center has got you covered with a night of FREE entertainment and encourages you to bring your face masks, chairs, and blankets! No outside food, unfortunately, but there will be a full bar and concession stand available to purchase some yummy goodies before the show starts.
This month they’ll be featuring “Julie Taymor’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” a live theater performance that brings Shakespeare’s classic to life with a twist. We know that you’ll be able to feel the emotions, comedy, and drama better through the huge 32 foot LED wall!
You can view the future schedule HERE.
Worried about the parking situation? Don’t! Parking is available at the Tobin Center Parking Garage for $15: 227 4th Street, 78205.

“The dog days are over?” Not quite, Florence + the Machine. Sorry! Around here, we adore our pups! As we should.
Before summer is over, we’ll let our fur babies have a last hurrah at the Pickrell Park Pool to enjoy a dip at the “Paws in the Pool” party!
Please keep this in mind:
- The entrance fee is $3 per person and allows 2 dogs.
- Dog vaccination proof must be shown at the entrance.
- Pre-registration is required, so sign up!
- Max people allowed in the park are 60 with an hour and a half session starting at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
- All fur friends must wear a collar they can swim on and must be on leash outside if they’re outside of the pool.
To keep the environment clean and safe for everyone, including your pups, please make sure to clean up after your four-legged friends.
Plus! Everyone wants to have fun, so doggy toys and doggy snacks are allowed. Sounds like a great time to us! 🐶
