The 2022 Philadelphia Phillies caught fire at the right time. Finishing the regular season with a wild card seeding, the Phillies rallied to send home the St. Louis Cardinals, the Atlanta Braves, and the San Diego Padres in order for a berth in the World Series. It was a storybook playoff in which the Phillies were unstoppable at home with clutch hitting by Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper, UNTIL they met the Houston Astros in the Final, eventually losing in five games.
Hoping to launch another World Series bid, the Phillies 2023 campaign begins right here in Clearwater with Spring Training at BayCare Ballpark!
Keep reading for things to do in and around BayCare Ballpark.
Unlike most Spring Training ballparks, BayCare has lawn seating on a berm, or small hill, that encompasses the entire outfield. Up to 1,500 fans can bring beach blankets and catch some sun while, hopefully, catching a few “fightin’s” home-run balls. It’s almost like the Spring Training version of the outfield hill at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania!
General parking for BayCare Ballpark is in the grass lot off of Old Coachman Road in front of the West Gate of the stadium (Lot B), at the Carpenter Complex south of the park on Old Coachman Road (Lot A), and at the Joe DiMaggio Complex at the northwest corner of Drew Street and Old Coachman Road (Lot C).
Handicapped parking is in the south lot (Lot D) off Drew Street and U.S. 19. Share ride pickup/drop-offs are also located in the South lot (Lot D).
It’s best to arrive early and park in the first available lot. Parking passes can be purchased in advance through the MLB Ballpark app.
