Pittsburgh Brewery Trail and More Things to Do This Weekend

A Story By

I know, winter in Pittsburgh can be pretty drab sometimes. Fight off that so-called seasonal depression by having some fun this weekend! Grab a few drinks at happy hour, relieve some stress at yoga or enjoy the winter weather on the slopes. Not interested in those? How about traveling Pittsburgh’s Brewery Trail or going to the Drive-In? The choice is yours!

Here’s some Things to Do in Pittsburgh this weekend yinz guys!

2020 us behind us but let’s be honest, we can all use a little bit of calming yoga to escape some of life’s everyday stressors. Join Alyssa Maschak at Your CBD Store to prioritize your mind, body, and spirit through a series of breathing techniques, step-by-step postures, and sun and moon salutations. After class, enjoy CBD samples and light refreshments to kick-start your Sunday!

The event will be socially distant with plenty of space and sanitizer/wipes. Please bring your own mat and please RSVP to reserve your spot ($15 drop-in or $40 for 4-class pack). There is also a virtual option for participants to join via zoom from your own COVID-friendly space!

Happy Hour is calling your name! Head to Urban Tap in Shadyside or Southside for some unbelievable happy hour deals. Enjoy 1/2 off drafts, $2 off small plats, $2 off all wine and $5 craft cocktails! So pencil in happy hour this week with the gang between 4 and 6:30 PM to snag some adult beverages and snacks. The Urban Tap also offers a late night happy hour from 9 to 11 PM where the deals change daily!

If you’re able, let’s #SupportLocal and enjoy a beverage or two from this local favorite.

You’re never too old to go outside and play in the snow! Boyce Park offers a variety of winter activities for you to enjoy. Snow tubing is our personal fave! Gather up a group of friends or family and spend the day at Boyce Park sliding down the hill at top speeds and racing to the bottom to crown the snow tubing champion.

Passes are $17 per person for county residents and $21 for non-residents. Be sure to check out their COVID-19 policies and procedures and plan accordingly.

Snow tubing tickets must be ordered online, in advance. No walk-ups are being accepted.

Brewery Trail? Count us in. There are over 30 Breweries in Pittsburgh, will you hit them all? Choose between pre-made trails in select neighborhoods or crafting your own path to try out beers from local hot spots. There are seven pre-made trails in different areas around the city that will lead you from place to place to learn some history, chat with the staff and of course, sample some brews!

Purchase the Pittsburgh Brewery Guide and begin your mission to try them all! Every brewery you visit will stamp their designated page, just like a passport. So find a designated driver, and get going!

Take a drive to Moon Township to enjoy a movie from somewhere other than your couch! Yes, the drive-in is still open and showing new releases! So put on your comfy pants (oh wait, you’re probably already wearing them) and enjoy a  movie complete with some snacks from the snack bar. The Dependable‘s got the good stuff… foot long hot dogs, cheeseburgers, churros, funnel cakes, Choco Tacos and more. Can you tell we’re hungry?

Reservations are not needed at this time. The drive-in is operating as a first come, first serve basis. And you really can’t beat the ticket prices! It’s only $8 for adults and $3 for children. See what’s showing this weekend.
