With Cinco de Mayo on the way, we know you’ll need all the tasty taco spots! This week, we’re highlighting the delightful fusion cuisine of Tres Tacos!
Tres Tacos combines classic Mexican cuisine with Middle Eastern spices & flavor. Of course, you’ll get all the taco classics, but if you’re ready for something new, try their lamb kebab tacos or pita chip nachos!
Classic plates include their Baja-style fried fish, shrimp tacos, guac and chips, and beloved beef birria. But established foodies will delight in this new take on a beloved dish!
You can also indulge in Tres Tacos’ full bar service. We recommend the “Como la Flor” (featuring hibiscus-infused tequila, Aperol, orange juice, and bitters), or the Chameleon Margarita (with mezcal, tequila, and blue Curacao, orange juice, and lime).
Calling all adventurers! Looking for even more things to do in Houston? Try out any one of our latest city guides:
Your next favorite bar is in Montrose! Bar No. 3, located at ground level of the La Colombe d’Or hotel, combines Old Hollywood charm with the liveliness of a speakeasy!
Choose from any one of their cocktails, beer, and wine offerings while sampling any of their small plates. We recommend “The French Dispatch” – a fruity cocktail with gin, sparkling wine, strawberry, lemon.
In the morning, guests can also enjoy the hotel’s morning coffee service. Reservations are required for both the bar and its sister restaurant, Today or Tomorrow. Book online with OpenTable!
Keep an eye out for Houston’s hottest new cantina! The Tres Amigos Café y Cantina is slated to open this week on April 22!
Inspired by Houston’s own ZZ Top, the restaurant and bar will feature classic Tex-Mex and legendary band memorabilia. Expect classic tex-mex fare, including enchiladas, nachos, and margaritas made with Pura Vida tequila.
Enjoy some delicious food & a bite of Texas music history – all while supporting those in need. In an incredible show of charity, 75% of the restaurant’s proceeds will be sent to the St. Jude Foundation!
