It’s THE football game of the State Fair of Texas! More than 100,000 people travel to the State Fair for the AT&T Red River Showdown game between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners. The game, played in Cotton Bowl Stadium since 1929, is an iconic staple of the State Fair.

Who’s ready for a Halloween movie night to gear up for spooky season this weekend?!
The Rooftop Cinema Club at Heritage Village is showing a bunch of fun Halloween movies this month. It’s a super fun open-air movie experiences. They have everything you need for a perfect movie night. You get to choose between three different seating options including bean bags, loungers, and love seats. Once the movie starts you just put on your wireless headphones to tune into the movie. Make sure to arrive early to have plenty of time to pick up your favorite concessions, including soda, popcorn, nachos, tons of candy, and jumbo pickles.

The Children’s Aquarium is officially open again! The aquarium got a full makeover, from new paint colors, amazing murals by local artist Steve Hunter, new super fun hands-on experiences, and of course new fish. The Children’s Aquarium currently houses more than 15,000 fish featuring Swell Sharks, Archer Fish (that spit), Weedy Sea Dragons, Doctor Fish, Mahi Mahi, and so many more. It’s such a great place to explore with your kids. One of our favorite things to do at the aquarium was being able to touch the Cownose Rays and participating in a bunch of other hands-wet activities.
