We recommend ordering their shrimp tacos–best in the Tampa Bay area!
But the best part of an Urban Cantina meal is actually free: chips and salsa. Highly addicting, you will likely be asking for 3 baskets just for yourself.
Eddie and Sams is arguably the best pizza shop in Downtown Tampa. From classics to new creations, Eddie and Sams nail all their pizzas perfectly.
Showing off their dedication to getting the details right, they ship water from New York to get that chewy NYC pizza crust texture. We recommend their white pizza or buffalo chicken slices–big enough to share with a friend!
Also, if you haven’t been in recent years, make sure to check out their new expanded area with yummy gelato and Italian desserts!
Gin Joint is a modern speakeasy located in an unassuming office building. Though the valet stand gives it away, you’ll open the doors and be met with a well-dressed bouncer who will give you entry into this luxurious and ambient 1930’s inspired space.
We recommend trying out their octopus appetizer and grabbing one of their many gin drinks.
Quick tip: visit on weekends for some of the best live music in the Downtown area! They will ask if you have a reservation for a dining room table, but we find that if you ask to sit at the bar the wait is much shorter–if any!
Dio Modern Mediterranean is the spot for some modern Greek eats. Since they have outdoor seating open to the Downtown street views, this is a great spot for lunch or for a chill night with friends. When Tampa has some cool weather, they even open up the restaurant’s garage door walls to let the fresh air in.
Featuring delicious gyros and paninis for lunch, their menu has everything that you’re looking for, so try not to order everything. We recommend sharing their amazing hummus and flavorful roasted garlic feta dip!
Fusion Bowl is an amazing Vietnamese lunch cafe in the office area of Downtown Tampa. We love their expansive menu – which even features breakfast items! We recommend their signature pho noodle soup or their banh mi sandwich–a Vietnamese classic, with the best bread you’ve ever tasted.
The one thing that you cannot pass on is their unique, muddled teas–black tea infused with mint and berries of your choice!
Lastly, if you are a vegetarian who is looking for the perfect vegetarian restaurant, Fusion Bowl has a full and specialized menu for you!
Anchor and Brine is a gorgeous restaurant, featuring an attached terrace for you to enjoy the beautiful Tampa view and some live music. This is a great spot if you’re looking for a luxurious, but still very Florida vibe restaurant.
Their decor is modern but summery, featuring sophisticated twinkly light fixtures all around the terrace.
We recommend ordering from their raw oyster bar or their packed seafood tower!
Hattricks is labeled as “The Best Sports Bar in Tampa Bay,” and they live up to that title. Upon entering, you’ll feel the familiar vibe of a sports bar but be surprised by their super high ceilings.
With enough televisions placed at all angles of the restaurant, the whole squad will be able to watch the game.
They don’t skimp on their menu either with its flavorful renditions of all the classic game food. We think they have some of the best wings in Tampa! definitely try them Lightning Shake n’ Bake style, a yummy garlic parmesan flavor!
