So Halloween is on a Thursday this year? Does that mean we celebrate this weekend or next weekend? The CONFUSION!
Whichever weekend your planning on celebrating we have compiled a list of some the best Halloween/non-Halloween events happening this weekend in Charlotte.
19 YEARS!? Woah Rich & Bennett are clearly doing something right…
For those of y’all who are not familiar with Rich & Bennett, they’re behind some of the largest bar crawls in the southeast including their annual St. Paddy’s Crawl and Americrawl. Thousands of people travel from all over just for their crawls each year.
They’re always a guaranteed good time, that’s for sure. Their Halloween Bar Crawl will take place on October 26th this year from 1PM until 10PM.
They’re planning on having over 20 different bars participating in this year’s crawl. Each bar will have different drink specials–we can already feel our hangover.
There will also be swag, giveaways, and of course a costume contest. So if you are vying to win that contest we suggest you bring your a-game.
Tickets are currently on sale so get yours while they are still available!
🗓 OCT 26 | 1PM–10PM

The annual Belmont BooFest & Nightmare on Main Street is back!
Don’t let the frightening name scare you away because this is a very family-friendly event.
There will be kid-friendly rides that will be open past nightfall and loads of other activities. Some of the highlights include face painting, costume contests, and our, favorite, trick-or-treating!
There will also be loads of live music throughout the day.
The event kicks off at 2PM and goes until 10PM. So grab the kids and your friends because this is an event for everyone!
🗓 OCT 26 | 2PM – 10PM
Unknown is hosting their largest event of the season this Friday and guess what? It’s completely free!
Yes, we know it sounds too good to be true but it is. There are LOADS of awesome things to look forward to at the event including live music from Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, AKITA, Ajeva, and VonHunter!
One of the things we’re looking forward to is the first look at the anticipated Wood & Grain Project. For those who are not familiar with Unknown’s newest venture, it’s their distillery. They will be giving tours of the new facility along with a limited release of their first batch.
There will be different contests going on throughout the party including bobbing for apples, pumpkin chucking, and more. Just in case you work up an appetite, there will be plenty of food trucks on site as well!
This is an event you will for sure not want to miss!
OCT 25 | 6PM–10PM
Unknown Brewing Co.
Looking for something to take the kids to celebrate Halloween? We know the perfect event!
This Saturday one of our favorite areas outside of Charlotte, Rea Farms, is throwing a fun-filled Halloween bash.
They will have everything from face painting to a DJ and arts+ crafts. Did we forget to mention that they will also be having trick or treating? Think of all the candy!
They will also be playing Hotel Transylvania on their big screen.
The entire day is completely free and open to the public. However, if you pre-register for the event you will be eligible to win prizes at the door!
🗓 OCT 26 | 3:30PM–7PM
📍 Rea Farms
Charlotte’s LARGEST Halloween party is back! And it’s gotten even better this year because DIPLO is performing.
Not only is this an epic concert, but it’s also a costume party. There will be $10,000 in cash and prizes offered throughout the night.
That’s a LOT of money to win just in one night. There will be three separate categories; Sexiest, Group, and Best. So that’s three chances to win big!
This is also an all-ages show and will go on rain or shine!
🗓 OCT 26 | 6PM–11PM
📍 300 N. Brevard
We decided to keep the fall holiday spirit alive! That being said, we think it’s time to start thinking about everyone’s favorite day in November…THANKSGIVING!
Does anyone else’s stomach start growling just thinking of the mere thought of Thanksgiving? Ours sure does!
One of our favorite things about Thanksgiving here in Charlotte is the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The parade has been around since 1942, which means it is celebrating its 72nd year. It began as a small community event and has grown to one of the largest events in the Charlotte events calendar.
If you have never been to the parade before, expect loads of floats, performers, and large balloons. It’s fun the whole family can enjoy no matter the age!
The parade begins at 9th Street and will march south on Tryon Street to Stonewall Street beginning at 9AM on Thursday, November 28.
The parade is free for spectators, however, VIP packages are available to those who want to secure the best seat in the house!
