San Gennaro Feast and More Things To Do In Miami This Weekend

Hey, South Florida! We’re gearing up for another great weekend filled with awesome events happening all over our neighborhoods, from Broward to Dade. Do you have your weekend plans yet? If not, you won’t want to miss this.

Events This Weekend

The San Gennaro Feast is the biggest Italian food and music festival in South Florida. The festival happens twice a year and is coming to Gulfstream Park on March 18.

Held in honor of Saint Gennaro, the Patron Saint of Naples, Italy, the festival features a wide variety of authentic Italian food vendors, arts and crafts, home exhibits, pony rides & petting zoo, face painters, live entertainment, and amusement rides and games fun for the whole family!

📍 Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino | 901 Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009

Pinecrest Gardens is hosting a movie night showing of Trolls World Tour. Bring the whole family to enjoy a night out in a safe, socially-distanced outdoor environment while watching the featured film and munching on fresh popped popcorn and delicious treats. 

Tickets are $7 per person and children under 2 are free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and movie starts 7:30 p.m.

Yoga on Breakers and Sunny Side Up Market are teaming up to offer a free yoga class at Huzienga Plaza in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The class will be an all levels flow class open to everyone. 

After the class, grab a free mimosa and head over to the “Pop Up” Market at Township Fort Lauderdale right across the street to sip and shop for a perfect Saturday outing!

Although the class is free, donations for the instructor are welcome, but not required ($5 is recommended). 

Mats will not be provided, so remember to bring your own!

In collaboration with Seed Food & Wine Week, Chef Josie Smith-Malave, former “Top Chef” contestant and current owner-chef of Bubbles + Pearls, and Chef Paula DaSilva, former “Hell’s Kitchen” runner-up and current executive chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, are hosting the ultimate vegan dinner. Take in beautiful views of Fort Lauderdale beach from the fifth floor pool deck of the Atlantic Hotel & Spa while feasting on a delicous and nutritious meal for a good cause – all proceeds from the unique dining experience will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

📍 Atlantic Hotel & Spa Ocean View Terrace | 601 N Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304

The City of Miami Parks & Recreation and City of Miami Police are hosting a free bike ride through the community this Saturday. The event is open to the public and welcomes riders of all ages. The entire ride is about 3 to 4 miles long and the group will be traveling at a pace of 5 to 8 MPH.

For younger bikers aged 7-12 years old, there will be a bike rodeo in conjunction with the main bike ride. Safety checks, a bicycle skills course, safety education, and snack and refreshments will also be provided! 

Remember to bring your helmet, bike and mask, but if you don’t own a bike of your own, no worries! 16” & 20” Bikes are available for rental in limited quantities. For more rental information email [email protected]
