Beat the January blues with these fun events! We’ve got events to help you stay active, meet new people and hang out with old ones, and to get crafty. We’re making the most of what 2021 has to offer and so far we’re having a great time. Here are a few of our favorite things to do in Charlotte this weekend!
Due to COVID-19, we understand there’s not as much going on as normal in our city. But not to worry, there are still plenty of things to do in Charlotte that can be done while social distancing. Be sure to double-check for any updates at events and venues before making plans to head out.

1. The Legiondary Run
Are you looking for a challenge? Try the Legiondary Run: a 4.3 mile run of rolling hills. And once you conquer the run, join fellow runners at Legion Brewing after for a craft pint around the firepit. This weekly run is a great way to meet fellow runners!
Masks are required pre-run, post-run, and in the brewery. If you are a new runner, make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in.

2. Blue Blaze Trail Talk
If you’re looking to learn more about hiking or backpacking or meet people in the Charlotte outdoor community, this event is the one for you! Head over to the Blue Blaze Brewing for a casual and open conversation about all things outdoors. While you learning about the best hiking trails or tricks, grab a craft brew. This event is perfect for new and experienced hikers alike!

3. Trivia at Pinhouse
Whether your new year’s resolution is to learn more or you just want to hang out with friends, head over to Pinhouse for trivia night! If you’ve never been to Pinhouse before, you’re missing out! Check in and you’ll receive a wrist band and scan to pour the drinks of your choice. No bartender required! And in between rounds, try your hand a duckpin bowling (it’s like regular bowling, but the pins and the ball are smaller). So trivia, lots of beer, AND bowling? Sounds like the perfect Tuesday night to us!

4. RunBots: Tuesday Run Club
Check out all the beauty that Charlotte has to provide during this outdoor run. This weekly run is sure to quickly become a favorite. Choose your route and then grab a beer to celebrate a job well done. Wear your Wooden Robot shirt or RunBots socks and receive a free 10oz pour! The start times are staggered based on the route you choose in order to maintain social distancing: 6:30pm (5-mile route), 6:40pm (3-mile route), and 6:50pm (1-mile route).
Be sure to bring your phone as maps will be available for viewing online. Masks are required inside the taproom and outside on the patio.

5. Saturday Crafternoon
Let’s get crafty! This arts and craft afternoon is perfect for kids and adults alike. All you need to be able to do is hold a paintbrush and use your imagination. This month, the class will use paint to make wild rocks! Art is a great way to bond with kids and for kids to explore their creative side. Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!
