Austin, say hello to Soho House. Soho House, welcome to Austin!
Music Lane just got a friendly new neighbor and to say we are intrigued–well that’s an understatement. You may have noticed that Austin has slowly been filling its members’ club portfolio, and Soho House is the latest one to join. It’s exclusive and the rooftop deck and pool are beautiful. It’s also not too bad on membership dues for what it offers.
What really makes Soho House Austin stand out though is that it’s a welcoming space for creatives, and you know Austin is home for creative people of all kinds!
There’s a possibility you’ve heard of the Soho House way before this. If you were anything into the courtship that is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, you probably read reports about their first date being at Soho House.
Soho Houses are located all over the world–we’re talking New York and London, to even Hong Kong. A-list celebs to influencers are always photographed entering and leaving them. But it’s not just a spot to be seen. Its purpose is to be a space for creatives to gather, connect, and collaborate.
As Austin thrives, it was only time that the company would notice the need for a Soho House here. How cool is it to have a space where creative professionals, artists, and musicians can all just hang? We actually get to have the very first House in Texas! Thanks for being cool, Austin.
Soho House in Austin
“Set across three floors, the interiors by Soho House Design combine Texas Modernism with a contemporary Spanish aesthetic. There’s a mix of vintage furniture with specially designed pieces, and we’ve worked with local artists and craftspeople who have contributed to the space,” their team has shared with us.
A few other exciting amenities include a screening room (UT film folks, where ya at?), a bar and terrace on their third floor overlook our vibrant SOCO neighborhood, a rooftop pool, and 46 bedrooms just in case you need a place to snooze.
Their bedrooms aren’t included in their fees but available at a discounted rate for all members.

How can you get in?
Here’s the deal, right now everything is off-limits to the public. They did toss around the idea of opening their restaurant to the public, but that’s a no for now. They just opened last week so really anything could happen.
We aren’t sure just yet if we will get a membership, but hoping they’ll open some of the perks to the public soon. We can’t wait to see the vibes inside, not to mention the art. They have some pretty rad pieces up around the property!
You do you boo, though. We’re happy to share how the membership works if you’re interested! The annual membership for the Austin House is $2,290, and $1,140 for anyone under the age of 27. If you’re a world traveler, you can consider their global membership that allows you access to their other houses. (Maybe your run into the royals, perhaps?) That membership will put you back $3,500, and $1,750 for you young folks under 27.
And if the membership isn’t in the budget right now, bookmark our Weekend Guide, as we will be sure to share if any weekend events at the House open to the public.
Check them out and let us know if you become a member. We’d love to see how you utilize it!
