It’s easy being green! 💚✨ Wanting to spend some time at the green river? Head over to the San Antonio River Walk for some fun St. Patrick’s Day events. Witness the river turn green during the St. Paddy’s Dyeing of the River as 25 gallons of eco-friendly dye makes its way through the San Antonio landmark.

Happening:

Friday, March 17 | 1 pm – 3 pm

Saturday, March 18 | 11 am – 12 pm & 1 pm – 3pm

Stick around and spend the holiday at the River Walk and enjoy the Bud Light St. Patrick’s Day River Parade and Festival for more viewing fun! Want to be a part of the parade?

Put on your best green outfit and St. Paddy’s gear while you ride behind the dye boat with the Mad Dog’s Group! Each parade is complete with beer, entertainment, and the Mad Dogs mascot! This is perfect for you party people who want to be a part of the River Walk fun!

Interested in celebrations for anyone and everyone? Here are a few to check out in your St. Patrick’s Day free time or if you’re looking for something a little bit more low-key!

Brick at Blue Star is an awesome venue tucked away in the Blue Star Complex off the River Walk. The arts venue is hosting Vegano St. Paddy’s Day with vegan food vendors, art, jewelry, and more! Catch live music and local performers, Wayne Holtz (@wayneholtz_), Sage Palomino (@sagepalomino), and Grupo Frackaso (@grupofrackaso) on March 17th!

Looking for daytime activities?

Join the Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas by honoring the Irish heroes who fought at the Battle of the Alamo at the Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony. You can head over to the River Walk afterward for the parades!

If you’re looking for something a small drive out of San Antonio, find fun for the family at the St. Paddy’s Day 5k & 1k Leprechaun Kids Run!  This is a great event to raise money for a worthy cause while also having fun outdoors with the whole family during St. Patrick’s Day weekend!
