Parking

With more than 100,000 people heading to this stretch of Greenville Avenue, you’ll probably want to proactively plan how you will get to the festivities. Parking is an option, but you will likely have to pay and walk a bit to get to the area. Public transportation could be a better option for you.

The team behind the 2023 Dallas Mavs St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dallas recommends using the DART and stopping at the Park Lane or Lovers Lane stations. Both conveniently close to your desired destination. You can purchase a day-pass (valid for unlimited rides on the date of purchase through 3:00 a.m. the following day) from $6 or $12 depending on if you need local or regional service.

The Lower Greenville St. Patrick’s Block Party will have a free shuttle running from the Mockingbird station from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the day of.

Here’s what you should know before going to Dallas’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade and other events!
  • Wear green! This feels like a no-brainer, but it’s worth the reminder. The streets will be a sea of green for the whole day, and you don’t want to be the only one not dressed festively. So wear green, and feel free to get wild with green wigs, boas and headbands!
  • Arrive early. Trust us when we tell you it will be busy. Arrive early if going to the parade to ensure you can see all the parade floats and participants.
  • Explore. This fun event is made more fun by taking to the streets and seeing what vendors, bars and restaurants have to offer. If you’re coming just for the parade, be sure to stay after to get the fullest experience.
