Plant Park at The University of Tampa

Grab your hammock and head over to Plant Park for the most relaxing study spots at the University of Tampa! What this park lacks in internet connection it makes up for in atmosphere. With scenic views of the Hillsborough River and Downtown Tampa this is the perfect place to break out your textbook or study flashcards.

Buddy Brew Coffee

Located just a short walk down Kennedy from campus, Buddy Brew is great for those who prefer a caffeine fix to study. With plenty of seating inside and outdoors, Buddy Brew provides a great meeting spot for school projects and study groups. This spot is ideal for those who enjoy background noise while studying as it is a popular stop.

Southard Family Building (SFB) at The University of Tampa

The Southard Family Building previously known as the Riverside Building hosts great tables with umbrellas for studying. This is a quiet study spot on campus, great for focused studying. This spot hosts a beautiful view of the river and although it is outside, gets plenty of shade in the afternoon.

Oxford Exchange

Right on the edge of the university’s campus by the Falk Theater is Oxford Exchange. They have everything including a coffee shop, lots of great tables and cozy chairs for studying, and even a small book store. Inside of Oxford Exchangew is also Buddy Brew (we can’t get enough) so be sure to grab a cup of joe if you stop by. Their restaurant featuring a fresh and healthy menu also functions as a great place for school meetings.

Pro-tip: if you need WiFi, grab a day pass to the coworking space, the Commerce Club, located upstairs.

Starbucks at The University of Tampa

On the first floor of the ICB building on-campus is every Spartan’s study spot of choice. Here you can pick up your favorite Starbucks drink or grab-and-go meal paid for with a meal swipe or spartan dollars! Starbucks has so many great study spots inside and right outside by the fountains, but the real gems are the study rooms in the hallway outside of Starbucks.

Pro tip: When the study rooms are all filled there are usually still spots available on the 2nd floor of ICB.

Dwntwn Social

Dwntwn Social is another hot spot on Kennedy! This stop has a relaxed and chill atmosphere and tends to be a lot quieter than other businesses in the area. They offer a health conscious menu with shakes, bowls, waffles, and more.

Pro-tip: Be sure to grab a rewards card when you stop in to get your 10th drink free!

Not sure what to do when tanning hours and studying don’t line up? Don’t worry, the pool is a surprisingly good study spot at the University of Tampa. With plenty of lounge chairs great for reading and even shaded cabanas with tables and chairs you won’t be lacking in vitamin D even during finals season!
