Influencer of the Week - Charlie Chows Down
Hi, I am Charlie from Charlie Chows Down, a blog that highlights a fashionable and trendy foodie who enjoys flavorful meals and picturesque drinks. What I personally love about Tampa Bay is that it geographically covers so many cities and counties with such a doable, short drive that gives residents and visitors so many options for exploring.
Tampa Bay has an amazing food scene and ironically is how I choose to spend a lot of my free time. I have a passion for finding new and delectable restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic it may be harder to do so safely, so I have found myself frequencing more coffee and tea cafes for to-go drinks and smaller crowds.
There are a few coffee and tea shops I find myself at the most: Chocolate Pi, Foundation Coffee Co., Blush Tea and Coffee, and Moge Tee Tea. Chocolate Pi is a vintage dessert shop with antique inspired dishware, instagrammable drinks, and flavorful baked goods ranging from Salted Caramel cakes to Fruity Pebble macarons. Foundation Coffee Co. located in Riverview is a hidden gem and my neighborhood favorite. It is a pet-friendly, outdoor cafe which is the perfect location to switch up your work-from-home space or just to enjoy Tampa’s lovely weather with a cup of coffee. Blush Tea and Coffee has quaint vibes, a wall of an uncountable amount of loose leaf teas, local baked goods, and a mix of traditional and non-traditional coffee drinks. My new obsession of 2021 is boba milk teas. Moge Tee, an internationally known, authentic boba tea spot, is new to the Tampa Bay area and offers more fresh ingredients than your typical boba establishment.
I could go on about coffee, tea, and more but follow along on @charliechowsdown for more suggestions on where to eat and drink throughout the beloved Tampa Bay. Let me know if you visit one of these amazing businesses.
