Dr. Oliveri: A fellow USF & Life University Alumni, outdoor activist, lover of the community, and one of Tampa Bay’s favorite Chiropractor. He’s a man who wears many hats, and we are here for it! Our team had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Oliveri and we learned that we share a common interest. We’re both passionate about making a difference in the community, and share a love for our great city. UNATION is thrilled to introduce you to one of our favorite family-owned practices! If you haven’t checked out their website or social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, make sure you give them a follow and let them know that @StuffToDoinTampaBay sent you!
Dr. Oliveri: Okay so a little about me… I provide care in South Tampa. I grew up in Palm Harbor, FL where I graduated from Palm Harbor University High School in 2011. I earned a scholarship to play baseball at Barry University in Miami, FL. After finishing my baseball career, I transferred to the University of South Florida and acquired my degree in Biomedical Sciences. I explored different healthcare fields and fell in love with the practice of chiropractic. I then attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia (just outside of Atlanta) for 3 years where I graduated Cum Laude and received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I currently provide spinal care, physiotherapy procedures, and educate people on posture, nutrition, exercise, and flexibility. I try to help people maintain the integrity of their nervous system and accelerate their journey to overall health and wellness! It’s a pretty cool job if you ask me.
Dr. Oliveri: Although I grew up in the Clearwater area, I had never really ventured over to Tampa! I have been living in South Tampa for just over a year now and I absolutely love it.
Dr. Oliveri: I knew I wanted to be close to family and in an up-and-coming area for young professionals. I had met some friends for lunch in Hyde Park Village when I was home for the holidays, right before I had to declare where I wanted to do my last internship. I absolutely loved it. Within a few weeks, I had a job lined up in the area 😊
Dr. Oliveri: I’m a major fan of boat days out at the islands in Clearwater, FL. I love to hunt, fish, hike, basically do anything outdoors. I have a 4.5-year-old pit-bull/boxer mix named Bella who’s an absolute princess. Lastly… I shouldn’t confess to this… I eat healthy 99% of the time but there’s 1% of me that is a rebel and eats as many donuts as I can once a month.
Dr. Oliveri: Potential is a beautiful thing and what we decide to do with it is completely up to us. Stay focused on what you feel your purpose/vision is… what lights a fire inside of you and go make it a reality. True success is doing the best you can, with what you have, where you are, and bringing that reality to life.
Dr. Oliveri: I had a severe back injury at the beginning of my senior season and underwent treatment by a Chiropractor. I was back to normal in 8 weeks with specific exercises and treatment. It opened my eyes to the fact that surgery (which was recommended to me) isn’t always the solution and the body is an amazing work of art. It was designed so it can heal itself if we take the proper measures to get it better! I currently see babies, teens, young adults, middle-aged adults, the elderly, and even pregnant women.
Dr. Oliveri: Walk Bayshore during sunset with my pup. It’s something I never miss and is a constant that keeps me rooted. I put the phone away, get a little exercise in, enjoy the fresh air and press the decompress button 😊
Dr. Oliveri: Piccola Italia Bistro… A small 8 table rustic bistro featuring Italian classics & an array of pasta dishes on a chalkboard menu. It’s over by the Bucs stadium with a chef who is also the server. Excellent food and is a must-try if you live in the area… the food will blow you away!
Dr. Oliveri: Without a doubt Historic Hyde Park. Everything about it screams family and it’s centrally located in Tampa so everything is close!
Dr. Oliveri: I would start the day off with an early morning workout at F45 in Sparkman Wharf, followed up with a cup of coffee and avocado toast outside at the Buddy Brew in Hyde Park Village. I then head home to grab my swimsuit and towel around 10:00 am to get ready for a day at St. Pete Beach, soak in some sun until about 4:00 pm, and then drive home to walk the pup along Bayshore at sunset. For dinner, I splurge at Meat Market and then finish off the day with a nightcap at M. Bird located above Armature Works! That’s what I call a perfect day.
