The rumors about the pancakes at Kerbey Lane are true. They are absolutely amazing. They have rotating seasonal flavors that are uniquely delicious, but our go-to is the classic pancakes with the cinnamon swirl and glaze. We love to grab a nitro coffee and munch on these sweet treats, but their savory options are just as enticing! Eggs Francisco, we’re looking at you.

Snooze is committed to responsibly serving sustainably sourced dishes, and that’s a concept we can totally get behind. Their food always tastes fresh and leaves you feeling satisfied and ready for the day. If you enjoy a morning cocktail with your breakfast, Snooze has got you covered. Their bar is open as soon as the doors open. For your meal, we recommend any of the benedicts– they’re what your A.M. dreams are made of.
At Sawyer & Co., the flair of New Orleans is brought to Texas to create the perfect merge of Southern comfort food. Breakfast options are served on the “All Day” menu, and the brunch menu on Saturdays and Sunday offers even more morning goodness. You’ll definitely see the Louisiana inspiration peppered throughout the menu to get you out of any breakfast rut you may have found yourself in these days. What dish is calling our name? The Creole Shrimp & Grits, of course.
Veggie lovers, this one’s for you! While there are many options for a vegan breakfast in Austin, Bouldin Creek Café has mastered the art. You can opt for eggs, but we recommend trying the tofu scramble! It’s both filling and flavorful, with additions like locally grown tomatoes and organic baby spinach. They’re currently only operating curbside, but we look forward to being able to dine in again!
Phoebe’s hasn’t been here for a long time, but it’s definitely been here for a good time. We love the authentic atmosphere here with breakfast options that are definitely made with love. They’re always offering new and different specials, so you’ll never get bored. Make sure to check your diet at the door– when you check out the menu and see things like the “South First Tots,” there’s no way you’ll want to hold back.
Coffee and cocktails? Name a better duo… we’ll wait. Settle in at a picnic patio table at this cute restaurant as early as 9 A.M. and start your day with some donut holes and a cinnamon cardamom latté. Follow that up with a breakfast burrito or a chicken biscuit sandwich and you’re ready to take on another day in Austin. If you wander in on a weekend, you’ll have even more options, like Strawberry Pancakes! (p.s. we don’t actually recommend wandering, you should make a reservation.)
7. Bird Bird Biscuit
Voted the BEST biscuits in Austin (by us!), this is an absolute can’t miss breakfast in Austin. The biscuits are delicious enough to stand on their own, but throw on some of that perfectly fried chicken and we are in comfort food heaven. This business was started and is run by a couple of guys who became great friends and harbored the determination to bring utter deliciousness to Austin. Business has been booming since their opening in 2018, and Bird Bird Biscuit is anything but overrated. It deserves all the applause and recognition it can get!
Oh Patika, how your coffee gets us out of bed in the morning. We’ve loved Patika since it started as a mobile coffee cart, and now love to visit the brick-and-mortar. Whether you’re on-the-go or want to sit and relax, this coffee joint has your breakfast needs covered. Their pastries are baked daily and their grab-n-go selections are always fresh. They offer a great sense of community and we love the good energy all around.
We’d get up a lot earlier every morning if we were rolling over to these overstuffed breakfast tacos! Magnolia Café has been serving breakfast in Austin for over 40 years now and we hope they never leave us. They have one of the most appealing patios that is surrounded by gardens and offers the perfect amount of fresh air and space. The menu is always updating and we love everything we’ve tried. Did we mention how reasonably priced their menu is??
