One of our favorite sports bars in Dallas to watch any game is The Nodding Donkey in the State Thomas neighborhood of Uptown, right across from State & Allen. We love coming there when the weather is great because they have an outdoor patio area with cornhole, jenga, and of course TVs.

Make sure to come hungry, their menu has lots of delicious game-day options like wings, brisket sandwiches, pizzas, tacos and an impressive draft and cocktail menu. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Katy Trail Ice House

One of our favorite sports bars in Uptown is Katy Trail Icehouse. If you never been, add it to your list ASAP and thank us later. Katy Trail Ice House is such a fun place to be, especially when you want to catch a game. They have a bunch of outdoor TVs, cold beer, a great patio, are dog-friendly, and serve delicious food. We love getting their Ice House Quesadillas and their Summer Beer. Make sure to arrive early on game-day – it fills up fast.

Hero by HG

With 24,000 square feet of space, the expansive Hero by HG is well equipped to give you one of the best sports bar experiences in Dallas. In this space, you can find six full service bars, a 24-ft. HD screen, arcade games, and a fully private upstairs lounge all with a vintage flair.

Come here to watch the game with friends or make some new ones! Their food and drinks are expertly crafted with farm-fresh ingredients. You can find all of your favorite cocktails and classic bar foods, just a little elevated.

The Loon Bar & Grill

Uptown Pub is located in one of the landmark buildings on McKinney Avenue. They have a really spacious outdoor patio that even allows dogs. It’s such a fun place to hang out with your friends while catching your favorite teams on one of their big screen TV’s. It’s a very casual sports bar that has really good and affordable bar food. We really like their burgers and they have a great beer selection.

Happiest Hour

Happiest Hour brought sports bars to a whole new level. They have huge TVs scattered all over the place. Whether you’re sitting on their outdoor patio, inside, or on their upstairs patio, there will be a TV for you to watch your favorite team play. Happiest Hour is a great place to go before any game at the American Airlines Center. Go before any Stars game and all you’ll is see green.

Their beverage menu features several signature cocktails, wines on tap and more than 50 different beers. Some of our favorite cocktails are Harwood Paradise and The Boys Are Back. Happy hour is Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Also, make sure to get a Nacho Tower. It’s basically a big bucket filled to the brim with nachos, perfect for a pre-game snack.

Playground Bar
