Let’s all go nowhere together, Camp Nowhere that is! Back in Austin for the second time, this lively mini-festival is taking over Circuit of the Americas’ Austin360 Amphitheater.

Popular electronic and pop artists will be rocking the stage for one night only. Some of the artists performing are ODESZA, ZHU, Gryffin, Chelsea Cutler, and Robotaki.

This will be a night of lights, interactive art, awesome live music, and so much more. There might not be any real campfires but it’s still going to be lit!

The Chingona Fest was created to celebrate the Latina culture and because of that, you know it’s going to be a good party! The mission of the festival is to inspire Latinas through music, food, art, film, and community.

There will be several local small-business vendors to check out, plus delicious bites available. The festival creators believe representation is key and therefore have curated a lineup that accurately depicts their message.

If you’re looking to continue after the party, grab your tickets to the official Chingona After Party! There will be live DJ sets and great vibes taking over one of our favorite downtown bars, The Venue ATX.

While it’s typically BYOB, Crafts & Drafts will be providing refreshments as part of the celebration. They will have water, sodas, coffee, as well as beer and wine for you to choose from.

First, you eat tacos, then you eat dessert. However, we fully support dessert first followed by tacos.

In addition to all of the great food trucks that will be on site, there will be a number of other awesome activities to keep you entertained throughout the evening. Stop by the petting zoo and let the kids check out the animals. Plenty of games will be available, as well as comic con superheroes and their villains!

There are a couple of different ticket levels depending on what you are looking to get out of the festival. If you plan on grabbing a bite to eat from one of the trucks, checking out the petting zoo, and other activities, the general admission ticket is for you. The VIP ticket allows you to access the festival an hour early, receive a 10% discount on participating food trucks, and discounts on all cocktails. Who Says You Need A Car To Attend All These Awesome Events?

We recently came across an article by Mike Holp, a traveling photographer based here in Austin. It highlights all the ways to get around Austin without a car and it got us thinking. Why should we have to put so much extra stress on ourselves trying to drive and find parking for these awesome events? After all, we were named the most congested city it Texas. Yes, even above Houston.

We know we’re not the only one who relies WAY too much on my car–and we’re not saying to give it up either, just to open up your mind to the possibility of getting around Austin in a different way every now and then.

You could easily hop on Capital Metro and get anywhere around the city. Heading to Blues on the Green? CapMetro has like 10 stops near Zilker. Down to SoCo for a day of shopping? CapMetro, y’all.

When you’re downtown there are so many options available to get around. Hop on a scooter, rent a bike, walk, catch a rideshare, haul a pedicab, the options are endless! Check out Holp’s article to learn more.
