The Queen City Fall Festival and Other Awesome Stuff to Do in Charlotte!

A Story By

A new week is here, but we’re oh so eager to start planning for the weekend. Whether you’re in the mood to get a head start on some Christmas shopping, run a 5K, or just enjoy this lovely Fall weather, there’s an event out there for you and your friends to check out.

Scroll down to see what we’re talking about!

It may only be November, but we’re officially ready for festive music, holiday decor, and Christmas shopping! Luckily for us, the Southern Christmas Show has all of that and more. Between 450 holiday merchants, we know we’re going to leave with almost all of our shopping done for the season!

The Southern Christmas Show returns for its 52nd year at the Park Expo and Conference Center and will run November 14th–24th. This event is family-friendly, and in fact, children ages 5 and under receive FREE admission!

General parking, which is cash only, is $8 at the gate and valet parking is $20.

Apple season isn’t over yet! We’re celebrating Red Clay Cider Day over at Red Clay Ciderworks, and we think you should too. In addition to their popular apple pressing demonstration, Red Clay Ciderworks will have live music, cider releases, and a pumpkin patch! There will be ten different cideries on-site to sample, however, you will need to purchase an advanced drink ticket beforehand.

To add to all of that excitement, the Flying Hatchet will also be on-site, and Fūd on the Mūv will be serving up some delicious eats all day long! We’re so ready for this festival.

Parking will definitely be a bit difficult, so they’ve partnered with Lyft for the event. If you take a Lyft to Red Clay Ciderworks, you’ll receive 50% off your ride home–just ask a bartender if you don’t see the promo cards!

The faster you run, the faster you’re done…that’s what we love to say. The 15th Annual Novant Health Charlotte Marathon is right around the corner.

The Novant Health Charlotte Marathon is one of Charlotte’s best marathons and takes place right in the heart of our city. If you don’t want to run the full marathon, you can choose from the half marathon, marathon relay, 5K, and the kid’s run when choosing your tickets!

This family-friendly event will have several doorbuster prizes (while supplies last) and raffles to enter.

Kid’s activities include face painting, pumpkin decorating, coloring stations, a donut eating race, limbo, ring toss, and more.

With the purchase of your ticket, you get access to an LED bracelet (first 100 people), a 16oz color changing cup, the kick-off party, halftime party, afterparty, photographers, up to 40% off drinks, up to 25% off food, and more!

Oh, and did we mention there’s going to be a contest? Prizes will be given to the top scariest, fun, and sexiest outfit.
