Lucky’s Last Chance has locations in both Manayunk and Queen Village. It’s a cozy restaurant and bar with a friendly, laid-back vibe (the reigning motto is “be nice or leave.”) We’ll go so far as to say that, out of all of the places to watch sports on this list, Lucky’s Last Chance has the best burgers. They’re famous for the unexpectedly delicious peanut butter and bacon cheeseburger (served with a side of jelly). Several varieties of loaded tater tots, mac and cheese, hot dogs, and a large beer list round out the menu.

The Rook

The Rook is one of the newest places to watch sports in Manayunk: they opened their doors in early 2020. There are plenty of TVs throughout the space, so you’ll be able to get a great view of your favorite team. The menu features both classic bar-style fare (such as wings, burgers, and fries) and lighter options (including hummus, soups, and salads). They frequently offer game-day food and drink specials; make sure to follow them on social media so that you’re in the know.

JD McGillicuddy’s prides themselves on being a fun place to gather with friends, relax, and watch sports. They offer food and drink specials to draw in patrons on the nights that both professional and college teams are playing. Penn State and Temple fans in particular should make sure to add this neighborhood favorite to their rotation of places to watch sports! In addition to classic bar food and drinks, the menu features an outstanding selection of seafood: hardshell crabs, steamed shrimp, and crab legs are all available. You can’t beat their weekly specials: on Mondays, you can get five wings for $4.95 and draft beer for $2.50. If you find yourself without plans on a Wednesday night, swing by Quizzo and $8 burgers and fries.
