Vegan Market, Creative Markets and More Things To Do In Miami This Weekend

A Story By

We don’t know about you, but we’re feeling extra grateful this week for the warm weather South Florida offers year-round. Sure, we may have to deal with record-breaking heat and humidity that ruins our hair the second we step outside, but it definitely beats shoveling snow!

What better way to take advantage of this beautiful weather than with great outdoor events. We’ve narrowed down the best things happening in South Florida this weekend so you can spend less time deciding on what to do and more time soaking up all the sun.

Check this week’s list out below and, of course, happy weekending!

Events This Weekend

Who says soul food can’t be vegan?! Soul Vegan Fest is back for the fourth year in a row, this time with a socially-distant twist. This unique vegan festival focuses on all the classic soul food we know and love, but healthier! Some of South Florida’s most talented cooks and creators are serving up delicious plant-based Caribbean cuisine, and we’re so excited to get a taste.

Stop by for delicious noms, live music and a great time. Remember all guests must wear masks (when not eating) and practice social distancing.

📍 The Sand Bowl @ Bandshell Park | 7275 Collins Ave. Miami Beach, Florida 33141

The Markets for Makers was created to highlight small creators and give them a space to showcase and sell their creations. You won’t find anything generic or manufactured here, and that’s the beauty of the Maker’s Market. Discover one-of-a-kind or small batch items you never thought to look for with Makers specializing in home decor, fashion, art, design, food, and more.

Normally held in the Moore Building, this is the first time the Market for Makers is taking place outdoors in an effort to follow social distancing and COVID-safe guidelines. Attendees must wear masks and a limited capacity of guests will be allowed to shop at a time, so be sure to reserve your tickets at the link below.

If you love sake (or Asian food), you won’t want to miss this event. The Sake Celebration features two options: an Asian-inspired dinner with a sake pairing, or if you would rather just the sake, you can opt for the shorter sake tasting experience that offers two premium sake and two sake cocktails.

The dinner is a full four-course guided pairing experience. Every course comes with a round of sake tastings that perfectly complement the flavors of each dish, which includes avocado and truffle crispy rice, a poke bowl, 12 hour ramen and a Taiyaki waffle cone for dessert. We’re drooling just at the thought!
