A Story By

TD Ballpark

TD Ballpark is a local favorite for a weekend activity.  Here you can check out games of the Dunedin Blue Jays and the Dunedin High School Falcons!  But a very Florida activity is to visit a stadium to watch the Spring training of famous baseball teams.  At TD Ballpark you can watch the Toronto Blue Jays practice!

Check out their online schedule for tickets and times!

Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island

Honeymoon Island is the Florida locals’ best kept secret.  This gorgeous beach is located on a barrier island, creating a secluded private beach type feel.  There are zero crowds at this beach, so it’s a great place to get away.  Set up a picnic blankets and enjoy the sounds of the water, seagulls, and the breeze.

Want an even more special beach?  Take a kayak to Caladesi Island, which isn’t accessible by car!  That’s right, this beach you can only visit by boat or kayak.  Relax on the beach amongst the mangrove trees of Caladesi Island.

Dunedin Downtown Market

Nothing is better than a weekend at a market!  Whether you’re shopping for produce for the week, yummy baked goods, or different wares by Dunedin artists, the Dunedin Downtown Market is one of our favorite things to do in Dunedin.  Located in Pioneer Park of Downtown Dunedin, rotating vendors and locals alike meet to create one of Dunedin’s most vibrant markets.  The market curators even make sure to entertain guests with live music!

Friday-Saturday | 9AM-2PM

Pinellas Trail

Wanting some fresh air and time in the great outdoors?  Look no further than the Pinellas Trail!  This linear trail goes from St. Pete, through Dunedin, and to historic Tarpon Springs.  Commonly used by walkers, joggers, roller skaters, and cyclists, visitors get brought through different Florida atmospheres.  From cityscape to lush greenery to waterfront, you’ll see it all on the Pinellas Trail.

The Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail is a rail trail in Pinellas County, Florida. It stretches from Tarpon Springs in the north to St. Petersburg in the south, passing through the towns of Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Belleair, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, South Pasadena, and Gulfport.

Dunedin Golf Club

Get ready for tee time at this historic Dunedin golf course!  The Dunedin Golf Club is a semi-private gold club that is always open to the public. Their range programs and tournaments are a great way to play golf and meet fellow golf lovers.  Take a group of friends to the course or take the family and teach them how to play golf to start up a long time love of the sport.

Take a boat tour with ParrotDise

On the Tampa Bay coastline, you may be lucky to see some dolphins and sealife.  Leave it to the experts of ParrotDise where they take you to all the hot spots to watch dolphins!  We especially love their gorgeous Sunset Boat tour.  During this experience you can see dolphins and the water sparkle against the gorgeous Dunedin sunset.  It’s a once in a lifetime boat tour that you must take – perfect for date night or when people are in town!

Dunedin Causeway

The Dunedin Causeway connects Honeymoon Island and Dunedin, with great park areas for lounging and bike riding.   We love the Dunedin Causeway park as a place to go kayaking and have a beach day!  It’s quiet, casual, and far far away from all of the tourist fare – perfect for any local looking for a short getaway.

Eat at an Outdoor Restaurant

Dunedin is a hotspot for outdoor eating, for the area’s breezy weather and gorgeous views.  We recommend visiting Frenchy’s as a casual and beachy spot to dine!  This lively spot is full of bright colors, delicious seafood eats, and a full tiki bar.

If you’re looking for a spot that is more luxurious and classy, we recommend sitting outdoors at Bon Appetit.  This fine dining spot is one of our favorite spots in Tampa Bay for seafood!  Enjoy their raw bar selection on their water front patio, as you watch the boats roll by.  Plus, if you have a boat you can even enter the restaurant through their loading dock.
