Clay County Fair and More Stuff to Do in Jacksonville

A Story By

Weekend forecast: delicious fried foods, fun outdoors, great music, and some (not so light) shopping.

If you’ve spent the last five days in vain, it’s time to live it up for the weekend. We’re loving the weather and there is no time to waste, we’ve curated these top events to turn your couch potato into fully loaded and sunbaked.

Let's take it to the weekend...

1. Sneaker fete

Get some cool kicks for fall at the Sneaker fete expo! Streetwear aficionados can buy, sell or trade all the latest sneakers and clothes, plus there will be awards for best sneakers and vendors as well as raffles and giveaways.

Score great deals on OG brands like Nike, Adidas, Supreme, and Off-White or keep it cool with the counter-culture styles of Obey and Billionaire Boys Club. Either way, you’re going to look fly from your head down to your feet.

As the years have gone by, PorchFest has become a staple, grassroots event in Jacksonville. In addition to local talent, PorchFest offers a 50+ food and drink vendors, as well as many art vendors set up along the park. Come out with your pups or just to enjoy the fresh air and lively tunes of the community!

Try Rite on Que for southern comfort BBQ, EZ Eatz by Yaya for mouth-watering Mediterranean, and Papa Churros for fresh, cinnamon sugar-y churros to top off your night. The only problem is not being able to eat everything in sight! (Not our problem but we heard it happens to some people…)

Declaration & Co has been partnering with charities each year to host “Dashing Through the Store,” an exclusive event that partners the fun of holiday shopping with a great cause, with this year being Reset St. Augustine – an organization dedication to empowering and educating at-risk teens.

Tickets to the event are sold in 1-hour time slots beginning at 10am through 8pm. Your ticket gets you: an hour of private shopping featuring new products, designs and limited items, champagne cocktails, all-you-can-eat sweets bar, and a selection of brand new holiday merchandise that has been beautifully curated by Declaration.

📷 Icemen - Facebook

Jacksonville Icemen

This weekend (Nov 6) the Icemen play their home opener against the South Carolina Stingrays and it’s the perfect opportunity to get your hockey fix!

A night of heavy hitting, puck chucking, fights-on-ice is just what the doctor ordered to start the holidays off right. Root on the team as the game heats up while enjoying the concessions and be sure to check out the theme nights (like Margarita Mondays) for some extra chill to your outing.
