Best Things to do in Orlando with Kids

A Story By

Who said Orlando had to be for adults only? Whether you have kids of your own or are just a kid at heart, we’ve gathered a great list of the best things to do in Orlando with kids!

Big kids will love the thrilling adventures at Fun Spot, Andretti, and Top Golf, while the smaller tykes can enjoy Gatorland, a day at the zoo, or making their own pancakes at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill. Check out our list below for the best things to do in Orlando with kids!

If you have any reptile-lovers in the family, Gatorland is an iconic Orlando location—the gator capital of the world since 1949. You and your kids will learn all about different types of crocodilian species, including the elusive white alligator! Your kids will also get the chance to take a ride on the Gatorland Express Train Ride, cool off in the Gator Gully Splash Park, or watch their one-of-a-kind gator wrestling show.

If your kids are up for it, be sure to sign them up for the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line, where they’ll fly over the gator breeding marsh with 130 alligators below! Your kids will be begging to come back for more! Be sure to check their website, as they constantly have great ticket offers available.

You can rent out their splatter room for you and your family to create a one-of-a-kind creation. Suit up in their protective gear, enter into the splatter room, and start throwing paint to your heart’s desire. Kids will love the chance to get covered in paint, and you’ll love that clean-up is easy. (Parents: beer and wine is offered during your session!)

Day at the Zoo

A day at the zoo is a great way to spend the day with family and we’re lucky that in Orlando we have so many options to see these amazing animals! Most of the zoos in Orlando offer animal meet and greets, and have wonderful educators who can answer all your kids’ questions about their favorite animals!

Besides the big animal theme parks, you can also learn about exotic and endangered species at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Sanford, or you can learn about some Florida-specific creatures at Wild Florida. (Their drive-thru experience is an amazing option!) Also, be sure to check out all things reptiles at the Reptile World Serpentarium or cuddle up with some alpacas at the LunaSea Alpaca Farm.

You can even choose your own mix-ins like blueberries, bananas or peanut butter, to create a specialty pancake.
