Things the UNATION team would do before or after the event:
Ahoy, Tampa Bay! This is perhaps one of the most magical things to do in Tampa Bay this weekend – a majestic parade of incredible ships and spectacular views from the Gulf of Mexico paired with the chance to sail into the sunset, meet the different captains from the ships, enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and unwind with cocktails… We can’t think of a better way to welcome April!
Ladies and gentlemen, get your kilts ready – let the games begin! The VERY popular Scottish fun-filled event is dancing its way to Tampa Bay this weekend. It’s a must-attend, regardless of where you are in Tampa Bay. This year’s game is focused on the painting “Battle of Homlidon Hill” – where a Scottish raiding army returning home is intercepted and sadly defeated by the English. Come gather with your clan and enjoy the MANY things to do in Tampa Bay at this event:
Spring Training is over on March 28th, and the major league season is about to open on March 30th – it’s Rays vs. Tigers! It just got real, y’all. Take yourself out to the ball game and see the last opening day for MLB legend, Miguel Cabrera. Enjoy some good old-fashioned tailgate, grab a hot dog, and check out the aquarium after the game!
They play again on Saturday – grab your tickets before they’re sold out, too.
Did you know you’re able to go to the Tampa Museum of Art and pay whatever you want on Thursdays? No? Well, write it on your calendar so you don’t miss out on art “on the house”! Enjoy the most amazing current exhibitions like “Salman Toor: No Ordinary Love” for art that explores anxieties and hopes, or “Time for Change: Art and Social Unrest” for art that brings light to conflicts and contradictions of contemporary society.
“The best part is your dog is allowed inside – they have water bowls and treats for your pup. If you love peanut butter and coffee, you must try the peanut butter oat draft latte!” – Kendall, Dog-Friendly Spots Searcher
“The perfect upscale comfort food. If you’re a seafood lover, this menu is for you. The blue crab beignets were the perfect appetizer – they were so warm and fluffy but not too filling!” – Abby, Food Aficionado. “Check the lighting schedule before you go! Since this spot is located just steps away from Amalie Arena, plan on going after the puck drop to avoid the crowds!”
“Perfect late-night snack when you’re craving something sweet or if you’re on a date night – grab some ice cream and walk around Channelside and Water Street at night – I love that their scoops also come with a waffle cone piece! Great for dipping!” – Kalie, Dessert Lover
“To all my fellow gluten-free foodies looking for a place to eat, Gallito is my absolute favorite! I cannot tell you how many times a week I catch myself seriously craving their nachos. If you’re into queso blanco they are a MUST TRY! Don’t sleep on their chicken tacos and street corn.” – Faye, Gluten-Free Connoisseur
