Things to Do in Tampa Bay Weekend Guide

A Story By
Our Mission is clear. “Connect the World Through Events.”

And while that Mission may sound simple, it’s not always easy. The last few months have not been easy. And certainly, the last few days have not been easy. Our hearts break over the clear and painful fracture in our country.

There are times to stay silent. Now is not one of those times.

We stand with those who are peacefully protesting the grave injustice of George Floyd’s death. Every man and woman is entitled to their unalienable rights of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Over 20,000 days ago Dr. Martin Luther King said, “Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children.”

We cannot say it better.

Some say that America is a “failed experiment.”  We think they are wrong. At its core America is hope. Hope can move mountains. Hope can heal.

Others say that we will get back to “normal” soon. We hope that never happens. We are the architects of our future. It’s our choice to let those led by self-serving political interests define our normal. We choose NO to normal. Our “new normal” is what we make it.

Connecting the World Through Events is our Mission because events are where we bond around common interests and experience life together. Together. No matter the color of our skin. Together.

Fractures can be repaired.

As our city begins to open we hope that you can find joy in connecting with one another safely at an event this week. Here are some of our favorites:

Social Media Day Tampa Bay is now Social Media MONTH Tampa Bay! For the entire month of June, the much-loved Tampa Bay event is 100% digital.

Every full week of June will include multiple opportunities for learning and networking. From influencer and business panels to TikTok and Pinterest tips, each day will be packed with insight into the industry. If social media is your jam, this is the thing to do in Tampa Bay that you can’t miss.

We don’t know about you but we can’t wait for the day we can go on a bar crawl again. Downtown Crawlers throws some of our favorite bar crawls in Tampa Bay!

Due to the COVID-10 Pandemic, Downtown Crawlers had to cancel/postpone all of their events until further notice. But don’t worry, you can purchase a $20 ticket with no expiration date to one of their future events! For each ticket purchased, $10 will be donated to your favorite bar.

We are also giving away a pair of tickets on our Instagram! Follow us and enter to win.

World Oceans Day is coming up! Take action wherever you are and pledge to volunteer to keep Tampa Bay beautiful.

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful are encouraging individuals and families to participate while abiding by the social distancing guidelines set out by the CDC.

They’re calling all volunteers with kayaks, canoes, paddle-boards, and motorboats to help clean up the local waterways. If you don’t have a water vessel, you can still participate by cleaning up a local shoreline or neighborhood.

Did you know that 80% of all litter on land will end up in waterways? If you want to help our oceans, participate in this event in Tampa Bay this weekend.
