Oh, another rainy day in Houston! Fear not, for we have a list of places to find shelter from the rain and muggy weather that follows!   Depending on what your into, we have something for you! So take your family, hang out with friends, or have date night! Here are your top picks of things to do on a rainy day in Houston.

3..2…1, blast off! Our first stop is none other than Space Center Houston, home to a behind-the-scenes look at space exploration. This is a choose your own adventure option. Take a historic look at galleries and exhibits. Maybe try going inside a replicate shuttle to get a real feel for the experience, or figure out if there is life on Mars! You can even learn about the possibility of humans living on Mars!

They also have VIP experiences: such as meeting an astronaut or learning what it takes to be an astronaut. Whichever path you choose you’re sure to have a day of great fun!

The next stop on our tour is the Houston Museum of Natural Science. With a bunch of options; this place is your one-stop-shop for things to do in Houston on a rainy day. This museum has a very interactive aesthetic and vibe.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science features exhibits like the Hall of Ancient Egypt, Paleontology, Pompeii, Body World, Death by Natural Causes, just to name a few. That last exhibit will take you on a ride for sure!  Love Astronomy? View the vast, expansive stars there is the planetarium! The Butterfly Center is an absolute blast that will leave you smiling from ear to ear.

If watching movies is more your thing, consider 14 Pews, chapel style! A different option for those who are tired of traditional movie theaters. 14 Pews screens independent films, documentaries, experimental films, and even book readings!
