The Top Kid Friendly Activities To Do In San Antonio

Kids usually have loads of energy to burn off and we’ve found the perfect spot where they can “take off!” Ground Control is an attraction like no other and it’s a great place to keep the kids moving, entertained, and off their phones! The amazing neon colors throughout the whole park is a plus!

They’ll get to bounce on the trampolines, enjoy the Ground Control Wall (rock climbing), can purchase time to have fun on the Hologate Virtual Reality, perform stunts on the Ninja Warrior course, and sooo much more! Everyone is sure to enjoy themselves!

Bonus Tip: If you won’t be jumping yourself, you’ll be able to watch the kids from any spot you decide to sit at because the park is built underground! Plus, enjoy a snack while you wait. A Topo Chico and pickle sound good right about now, but so does pizza or mozzarella sticks!

“America’s oldest children’s amusement park.”

Kiddie Park is great for young children to enjoy and it’s filled with old-fashioned rides. You can expect classics like the Ferris Wheel, but also flying spaceships, and floating boat rides too! The best part is that the youngins are sure to enjoy and not be scared or intimidated to ride them! We know they’ll be all smiles.

To keep the fun going, Kiddie Park is right next door to the San Antonio Zoo! Make sure to pack the sunblock in case you decide to extend your activity and visit our friends Uma and Timothy. They’re our favorite Hippo duo!

Kid friendly Activities to Do in San Antonio can be found anywhere. This particular one will surely bring out the inner Picasso in the little ones! Clay Casa is the best way to let kids explore their creativity. 

With this fun activity, kids will get to pick their favorite eye-catching pottery piece. They’ll then execute their idea on how to paint and decorate it. Finally, they can take their masterpiece home to be shown off! There’s definitely more than one winner here!

Sea Life is the newest Aquarium in town with over 10 awesome exhibits! You and the kids will get to learn the ins and outs of specific fish, sharks, and living sea creatures too!

The vibe is very educational, but very interesting as well! There’s a jaw-dropping Ocean tunnel that’ll make you feel like you’re part of the ocean and an interactive touchpool that’s sure to catch the kids’ eyes and hands!

The best part is that Sea Life is located inside of the Shops at Rivercenter with Legoland Discovery Center right next door. If you and the kids have time, make room for both! You won’t regret it.

Legos never seem to go out of style, and kids will love them. That’s why LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a great way for your kids to explore!

The kiddos can expect over 12 awesome attractions such as:

• Lego 4D Cinema: Where everyone will get to watch a small film and experience effects like rain AND snow!
• Kingdom Quest: It’s a family-sized cart ride that takes you on an adventure to rescue the princess by defeating trolls and skeletons along the way.
• Miniland San Antonio: Exactly what it says, it’s the miniature version of our amazing city, San Antonio!

LEGOLAND Discovery Center is located inside the Shops at Rivercenter, next door to Sea Life! Are you up for the challenge of doing two activities back to back? We’ll let you decide!

An oldie but goodie, the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch is a Texas-Style African Safari. It’s been going strong for years and is always a crowd fave, especially with the kids!

How does it work? You and the kids will drive in your vehicle at your own pace, throughout the 4-mile course feeding and getting to see over 500 wild animals. It’s a very up close and personal experience. There’s Bisons and Zebras, just to name a few.

The best part is buying the animal food at the entrance and feeding your new friends along the way. The Safari Cafe is also very yummy, and will keep your human tummy happy! Check out the menu HERE!

If you’re up for an All-Day activity, you and the kids can always check out the Natural Bridge Caverns. Located next door, just make sure you’re wearing comfy shoes!

Expert Tip: Save some of that animal food for the petting zoo! The baby goats go WILD for it and the kids go WILD for the baby goats. Shhhh, can you keep a secret? So do us adults!

Fun for the entire family with no age limit requirement. We know the kids are sure to have a blast at the Embassy Miniature Golf!

This is a great experience for the kids to enjoy some fresh air and get their bodies moving thanks to the 18 holes! The Safari theme definitely makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of the city life and the kids will LOVE to pick their own golf ball. There are cool designs for everyone, from Pokemon to beautiful bright pink ones too.

We know the games can get intense and a bit competitive. To keep everyone happy and a winner; you can always purchase pizzas, soft drinks, and call it a party! That way everyone wins! JK, we know you won.

Santikos Entertainment Casa Blanca is bringing the fire, and kids will love this one! They offer a Cinematic experience like no other with a 4 in 1 combo attraction, which means there’s plenty of kid-friendly activities to do in San Antonio. (in this one spot!)

What can we do at Casa Blanca:

• Watch a movie on 1 of 16 picture screens, with 4 of those offering the “Ultimate Audio-Visual Experience.”
• Grab some yummy food from the concession stand. There’s pizza, wings, ice cream, cookies, and sooo much more. Plus, there’s a bar for adults too! The frozen mangonada margaritas are top tier!
• You can play cool arcade games like Connect 4 (basketball edition) or enjoy the old-school pinball machine.
• Bowling, our favorite part! There are 16 lanes available that offer “Unreal Bowling” which is an experience like no other. It brings the game to life through sight and sound, it’s sure to impress the kids.

P.S. Don’t forget your socks if you decide to bowl against us. We’re not that good but we’re very competitive. 😹

Most kids we know love thrills, chills, and adrenaline rushes. That’s why K1 Speed is where they need to be! On your mark, Get set, Gooooo!

It’s “a safe, state-of-the-art, authentic racing experience” with electric go-karts that go from 0 to 45mph in seconds! Don’t worry, the kids will be in protective gear the whole time.

Besides racing, what else can the kids do?

They can enjoy the Arcade games with some faves like Jurassic Park and AC/DC pinball, play a game of Pool or Jenga, study and pick up on some tips from other racers, and enjoy some delicious food from the Pit Café!
