1. A Gulf Coast Juneteenth

The annual Juneteenth Blues and Creole Festival is back!  Grammy-winning Bobby Rush will be telling stories, playing tunes on his harmonica, and of course, singing at the Miller Outdoor Theater. 

You can attend in person, or virtually via a live stream! This event is free but will require tickets to keep capacity.  Tickets are available until 12PM on June 19 or until they run out.

2. Vegan Vibez Festival

Whether your vegan or not, you’re definitely going to want to check out the Vegan Vibez Festival happening this weekend! DJ Turnip the Beet will be spinning tunes throughout the festival that is offering roller skating, dance battles, and of course, vegan eats from all over the country!

Grab your tickets and get ready for some good food and fun!

3. Bank of America Screen on the Green

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks, and settle in for Mulan at the beautiful Discovery Green! This is a free event, but be sure to arrive early as attendance is limited.  A second showing will also be available at 8PM to accommodate as many people as possible.  

Discovery Green will also section off the viewing area so that each group has its own, socially distanced space.

4. Backyard Brew Fest

Join East End Backyard for its first annual Backyard Brew Fest! This event will be showcasing 17 local breweries, with great food and of course live music and prizes to keep the party going.  Oh, did we mention you get to watch as a local artist paints a live mural during the festival? How cool is that?!

Grab your tickets now to sample great brews from all of your favorites.  A basic ticket will get you a 6–beer punch card and a Backyard Brew Fest Koozie.  A VIP ticket will get you a 6–beer punch card, a Backyard Brewfest t-shirt (who doesn’t love a t-shirt?!), and a pint glass designed by a local artist.

5. Father’s Day at Brennan’s of Houston

Father’s Day is this weekend!  A phenomenal meal at Brennan’s of Houston is a sure-fire way to become your Dad’s favorite child.  This prix fixe Creole meal is multi-course and includes some favorites like Seafood Gumbo, Snapping Turtle Soup, Crawfish Cakes as well as Steak and Eggs.

Have you visited “Houston’s Most Creative Brewery“? Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company is home to some really creative brews as well as delectable bites. Stop by for lunch or dinner daily starting at 11AM or drop in for our favorite meal, BRUNCH!  Brunch is served on the weekends until 3PM, pair that with a creative craft beer and you’ve got yourself the perfect start to your day.

Stop in to grab a bite and relax after work with Houston Skyline views or to catch the game on Sunday. Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company is open every day from 11AM–12AM.
