New week, new ‘What’s New in HOU’ blog. THIS week, we have some exciting stuff. With it being Fourth of July weekend AND all of these grand openings we have coming up, everyone is bound to be out and about in the city. Your Stuff To Do in Houston team has put together this list to keep you in the loop on what’s new in HOU!

Candytopia

For a sweet start to what’s new in HOU, we have a Candytopia coming to town! Their grand opening is July 2nd and they’ll be located in City Centre. Grab the kids and get your selfie on!

ALTITUDE Rooftop & Pool

Changing gears, we have something for the adults. Indulge yourself in an upscale poolside experience this summer at ALTITUDE. There’s more than the famous Texas-shaped pool to enjoy, trust us!

The Great Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

Back to the family-friendly options for what’s new in HOU, we have GOSH, or The Great Outdoor Scavenger Hunt! Not only will this get your kids away from screens, but it’ll help them get to know their city a little better. Fun and educational!

Christmas in July at Present Company

Where are the Christmas fanatics? This one is for you! Present Company is having a month-long celebration from July 1st – July 31st dedicated to Christmas in July. ‘Tis the season and toast your holiday themes cocktails under the Christmas lights.

Flight Club

The popular Chicago dart bar is coming to Houston! Flight Club is a place to throw darts in pairs of two or with a whole crew. Enjoy news, bites, and a night of competition as you let your darts fly and the good times roll.

Donkeeboy & Friends Art Show

Are you a Donkeeboy art fan? Friday, July 9th, from 6 PM – 9 PM, join him and friends at 8th Wonder for a night of music and a live painting by Frankee Cardona and Noke. Did we mention the live music, vendors, and of course brews for purchase from 8th Wonder.

George Lopez Tacos

The long-awaited opening of George Lopez Tacos is finally over. They opened June 8th and if you haven’t tried them yet, consider this your friendly reminder. We recommend the La Chingona with beef ranchero verde.

From Houston, With Love

Last but not least for what’s new in HOU, we have the newest art installation in town. From Houston, With Love features art from 20 local artists. You have 60 days to catch this exhibit.
