It’s Halloween week people!! It’s also the first weekend of November so get ready to dress up in costumes on Thursday and quickly transition to Holiday season the day after. How crazy does that sound?

We’ve got two months left to continue making 2019 an awesome year. Lucky for us all these last two months are filled with tons of great things to do in Austin.

Before we dive into the final months of the year there are lots of spooky Halloween events this weekend you can’t miss out on!

It’s officially the wurst time of year, y’all! Dust off those lederhosen and get your beer goggles ready because Wurstfest is right around the corner.

If you think you are prepared to make the most out of your trip down to New Braunfels for the greatest beer and sausage festival ever, think again. Thanks to the Stuff to Do in San Antonio team you’ve got easy access to everything you need to know before attending the festival with their Wurstfest Guide.

Besides this being one of the most looked forward to festivals of the fall season, Wurstfest has so much more to offer than pitchers of beer and tasty food. This family-friendly event has activities for all ages.

The carnival has grown over the years and now has more rides and games than ever before! Purchase ride tickets and use them for any ride/games in the carnival area. You can even purchase an unlimited ride wristband for the ultimate experience!

Enjoy live music and dancing from all 5 stages every single night of Wurstfest. From the Chicken Dance to German chants, there’s always something going on.

Help kick off the 10-day festival with the Wurst 5 Mile Run on November 2nd. Run through the beautiful neighborhoods of New Braunfels then enjoy beer, sausage, and polka music post-race.

Escape the horrors of Dirty Sixth without venturing far. The Venue is located right on 6th Street and has quickly become an oasis from the craziness Dirty Sixth embodies.

This Halloween party is not your typical bar-hopping Halloween party. There will be no elbows to dodge, toes at risk of getting smashed, and definitely, no waiting 30 minutes to flag a bartender down for a drink.

If anyone knows how to throw a party it’s The Venue. They will have surprises lurking around every corner. Expect to see fire throwers, live performers, a special guest DJ, and so much more.

This is for those of you who live and breath Halloween. Who plan all year what your costume is going to be. Now is your time to shine and with several different ticket package options, everyone is sure to find the appropriate ticket for their Halloween shenanigans.

BBQ in Texas is like deep-dish pizza in Chicago, beignets in New Orleans, cheesesteaks in Philadelphia–you get the picture. It’s a staple and a part of our food group, which is why this weekend a celebration of all things Texas BBQ is being celebrated here in Austin.

Drooling yet? Well, get this. This year’s fest includes 30 of the top BBQ joints from across our great state and they will all be smoking up some tasty meat for you to try. Not to mention there will be sides, desserts, cold drinks, and all the fixins’.

Some of the BBQ joints you can expect to see are Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew, Cooper’s Pit Old Time Bar-B-Que, Miller’s Smokehouse, Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ, and more.

No BBQ fest would be complete without live music. You will enjoy performances from The Suffers & Al Dressen’s Super Swing Revue.

Unfortunately, the ‘Cue Course and Franklin & Friends events are already sold out so be sure to snag your ticket to the main event before it completely sells out!

If you’re a tequila fan, this event is for you! Gather with fellow agave lovers for an evening to taste, learn, and explore tequila, mezcal, and sotol.

There will be a VIP lounge to kick off the fest early. Those who choose to purchase the VIP package will enjoy an in-depth history of the spirits while participating in a flight tasting session which will be paired with cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres. There are only a limited number of VIP tickets so grab yours while you still can.

If you choose to pass on the VIP option you can always go with general admission. The GA tickets include several tastings, Latin music, cultural dances, food from local vendors, face painters, fun yard games, and more.
