Your Guide to SOBE Wine and Food Festival 2019

A Story By

And just like that! We’re officially in SOBE season.

With the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival quickly approaching, we wanted to give you guys the ultimate guide to surviving and thriving one of the biggest events in Miami. If you enjoyed our Art Basel Guide, you’re gonna love this one! Plus we know how daunting the festival can seem! With so many events happening, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all of it. But we want to show you that you can enjoy SOBE Wine and Food Festival’s signature events without breaking the bank.

So let’s get started!

First one up is Goya Foods’ Fun and Fit as a Family event! You’ve probably guessed it but this one is for everyone in your group. The youngest to the oldest members of your family can join in on the fun this weekend! Taking place at Jungle Island, hang out with your favorite chefs and enjoy a day filled with food, fitness, and learning tips and tricks to leading a healthier lifestyle. Your little ones will especially love it because they’ll get to explore and interact with the animals in the newly revamped park grounds.

Tickets are still available, so make sure to grab yours soon!

Rise and shine! Get your day started with renowned chef and fitness enthusiast, Robert Irvine. He’ll be leading a boot camp-style workout, but don’t fret–it wouldn’t be a SOBE WFF event without some yummy bites! After the class, enjoy some delicious food from South Florida’s most consciously-operating spots along with refreshing cocktails. This is taking place at 1 Hotel South Beach and you must be 21 years or older to attend.

This one is a little bit more on the pricey side of things but we thought it was totally worth the experience! Midnight Eats is rounding up some of Miami’s best spots and bringing them to Española Way for a late night block party. Indulge in some midnight cravings alongside the hostess with the mostess, actress Debi Mazar and husband Chef Gabriele Corcos. Sip on the best cocktails crafted by Bar Lab. They are the group behind The Anderson and the Broken Shaker, two of our favorite local bars. Rev Run, the frontman for RUN DMC will be bringing the tunes so get ready for a night with the stars.

Also, keep in mind your ticket covers all food and beverage consumed during the event. This goes for all of the SOBE WFF events.

This one is happening at The Ritz-Carlton and it’ll be kicking off PRIDE Fort Lauderdale! New York personality, Elvis Duran along with his fiancé, Alex Carr, and Master of Ceremonies Kitty Meow will be hosting the event. You can expect the best libations, delicious food, amazing performances by Power Infiniti, Adora, Daisy Deadpetals, and a special performance by none other than Tony and Grammy award-winning actor and singer, Billy Porter.

Parking & Transportation

Events are taking place all around the city so having a transportation plan is an absolute must!

The first thing we’ll say is to leave extra early. We all know that traffic in Miami is mayhem, so leaving early puts you ahead of the game. As we mentioned in our Art Basel guide, if you don’t have the PayByPhone app, download it now so you can save some time. Every minute counts, right?

As always, public transportation is available. For events happening in Downtown Miami, there will be dedicated parking lots open to festival goers and if you’re attending the Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village, there will be free shuttle rides to the event from those dedicated lots. You can find more information on transit and parking right here.

Keep up with us and everything  SOBE WFF related on the app by searching #SOBEWFF. Tag us on our Instagram for a chance to be featured on our page! We hope this was super helpful.

Till next time, friends!
