Shops at Merrick Park is solving that by bringing back their Summer Play Date Series in partnership with Miami Mom Collective, South Florida's beloved community hub for moms and families, and this summer’s lineup is guaranteed to leave kids ready for a nap afterwards. From superheroes to mermaids to royalty, families are invited to gather beneath Merrick Park's iconic open-air Mediterranean setting for a season of immersive themed experiences, hands-on fun, and memories. The best part? Every single event is completely free.
This year's series will include:
- Kick Off to Summer: Sports Extravaganza (Saturday, June 6) - Sports-themed games, sensory stations, face painting, themed beverages, music, and interactive activities throughout the center.
- Superhero Day (Wednesday, June 17) - Superhero meet-and-greets, interactive performances, themed activities, face painting, and photo opportunities inspired by comic book heroes.
- Splash & Bash: Happy Birthday America (Wednesday, July 1) - A patriotic under-the-sea celebration featuring a live mermaid appearance by Mermaid Elle, music and entertainment, face painting, and ocean conservation activities for children.
- Boho Picnic + Princesses (Wednesday, July 15) - A picnic-inspired morning with princess appearances, crafts, face painting, photo opportunities, and family-friendly activities.
