The Mahaffey Theater – Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts facility located in the heart of beautiful Downtown St. Petersburg - a 2,031-seat cultural jewel featuring elegant ballroom space, spectacular waterfront views, and European box-style seating.

Just steps away from the culturally vibrant Downtown and minutes away from white sandy beaches and world-famous museums, The Mahaffey hosts top-quality national and international artists and performances – Broadway, classical, pop, rock, comedy, dance, family, and the renowned Florida Orchestra.

Additionally, the theater supports the highly successful Class Acts program, which enables school children to experience the performing arts through in-theater performances as well as in-school outreach and extension programs.

DOORS OPEN:

Doors open 75 minutes before the ticketed showtime.

PRO TIP:

We suggest arriving at least 45 minutes before show time to enjoy a cocktail from one of their full-liquor bars.

ENTRY / BAG POLICIES:

Guests attending Theater events should be advised that all persons entering the Theater and their belongings are subject to search. Bags larger than 12″x12″, backpacks, packages, briefcases, cameras, recording, and electronic devices are not permitted inside the Theater.

No weapons are allowed on the premises, this includes pocket knives.

The Mahaffey Theater cannot accept any gifts on behalf of performers.

No outside food or drinks (including alcoholic beverages, cans, bottles, or water bottles) are allowed inside the venue. Light refreshments are available for purchase

CAMERAS & RECORDING DEVICES:

The use of cameras or recording devices of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the Theater.

THEATER ETIQUETTE/LATE SEATING:

Please turn off all cellular phones and beepers upon entering the Theater. Please plan on arriving at least 45 minutes before event time. As a courtesy to their guests and performers, latecomers will be seated at the management’s discretion.

UBER/LYFT:

The recommended Uber/Lyft pickup location is on Bayshore Drive, on the east side of the Theater, near the fountain.

PARKING:

Convenient on-site parking is available! Enter from the Main Entrance located at 400 First St SE. Turn left onto 1st Street South and turn right at Gate #1. From there, follow the directions given by the parking attendants.
