1. The Fillmore

This small concert hall features a full bar and The Foundry, a tiny sister venue attached to The Fillmore dedicated to up-and-coming artists. Coolly designed, The Fillmore is a trendy dream, typically showcasing the most popular indie bands and famous Philly rappers like Lil Uzi.

2. Union Transfer

Classically designed, Union Transfer feels like a huge pirate ship-turned concert venue, complete with arched ceilings and yellow hanging lanterns. This space can fit a medium to large-sized crowd and has plenty of dancing space on both the central and second floors.

3. TLA

Probably the smallest venue featured on this list, the Theater of Living Arts is a South Street staple. Incredibly intimate, this is the ideal space to see an artist up close. The balcony that leans over the main stage is a unique addition, allowing those not in favor of general admission to sit comfortably with a bird’s eye view of the performers.

4. The Mann Center

The premier outdoor venue of Philadelphia, The Mann features rock heroes such as Robert Plant and other classic rock bands in a lush, green setting perfect for a hot summer’s day. Concert goers have the choice to sit on a spacious lawn in lieu of seats, allowing for a more Zen concert experience versus the mosh pits sometimes created at general admission shows.

5. Franklin Music Hall

A “classic” concert venue, Franklin Music Hall is the standard for your average concert: stage, dancing and sitting room, high ceilings, and plenty of space. This space was previously referred to as The Electric Factory and is known for consistently featuring the most relevant and contemporary artists of our time.

6. The Liacouras Center at Temple University

Primarily Temple University’s athletic stadium, The Liacouras has a full second floor, general admission floor space, and plenty of seats. This location has featured artists such as Tyler the Creator and Lil Uzi Vert and will be hosting Playboi Carti this coming December.
