Whatever the vibe you’re looking for, there is a great nightlife spot in St. Pete Beach for you! With so many cool bars and parts of the beach to explore, we recommend setting up a weekend trip with your friends or family and checking in to one of the local hotels. Lost on which beach bar to visit? Use our bars in St. Pete Beach master guide below to help you figure out which to stop by first!
Quick tip: Postcard Inn, Jimmy D’s Beach Bar, and Toasted Monkey are all within a walking distance of each other – so these spots are perfect for bar-hopping with a walk on the beach!
Ask where the locals usually go and they’ll tell you Postcard Inn on the Beach. Here, the decor is a home away from home as both visitors and locals can find license plates from all over the country posted around the bar. Grab a drink and find your home state’s plate!
This is a great place to bring friends as well because there are outdoor activities – like volleyball courts and cornhole. Just ask one of the staff for help and they’ll get you set up! Looking for the best photo opportunity here?
Visit during golden hour and find the larger than life beach chairs for a touristy but iconic Sunshine State photo.

Voted the best beach bar in town, Jimmy B’s Beach Bar has definitely earned that title by having two stages for hosting live music 365 days a year. We recommend this beach bar because they have multiple bars to visit and you can move around with your friends and meet new groups of people. They have an indoor area, if you don’t want to get sandy, and a patio bar, with a trail that leads down to the beach.
Quick tip: If you choose Jimmy B’s, make sure to come around sunset. Not only will you get the best golden hour pictures, but you’ll also get a free Sunset Shooter to accompany it all!

If you are looking for a sports bar vibe, then The Toasted Monkey is the place for you. Combining amazing beach bar decor like – palm leaf rooftops and bright blue counters this is the perfect tropical place.
As one of the indoor bars in St. Pete Beach, you have some protection from getting sandy but if you change your mind, you can venture out to their beach volleyball courts.
While watching the game on their big-screen televisions or projectors, we recommend the Mac N’ Cheeseburger, which has deep-fried mac and cheese – how amazing is that!
If you’re looking for something more healthy while enjoying the live music, they also have Beach Bowls, a beachy spin on a burrito bowl with a quinoa and brown rice base.
Monday – Thursday | 11AM-1AM
Friday – Sunday | 11AM-2AM
Bongo’s Beach Bar and Grill is located in the Grand Plaza Hotel and if you’re thinking about having a late night out, then this is the place for you!
Bongo’s closes at 3AM and has awesome deals during their Late Night Happy Hour from 10PM to close. We recommend getting some drinks and appetizers to share with your friends.
Definitely check out the crusted shrimp and crab cakes for the best beach appetizers you’ve ever had! We also recommend Bongo’s because they have tables and umbrellas right on the beach, so you can enjoy your meal with friends with your toes in the sand.

As a hole-in-the-wall spot in comparison to other bars in St. Pete Beach, Undertow is a favorite amongst the locals. If you’re looking to avoid the tourist crowd, mark this down as a must-visit. Here, the staff is super attentive and really cares about your experience.
So whether you’re living in St. Pete or visiting the area, you will definitely feel like a Florida local and get to know some great people. While that is all well and nice, have we mentioned that their indoor bar has a built-in stream for rubber duckies? We recommend taking a boomerang of this spot because you have never seen anything like it! Also, to chill out with friends you can enjoy some cornhole, pool, or volleyball if you’re feeling a bit more active for the day.
Plus when you’re all done, you can make some memories to keep and take pictures at their huge beach chairs to add some Florida vibes on your Instagram feed.
