'Tis the season to go to holiday events in Philly!

We’re so excited to see Philly come back to life this holiday season! With spooky season coming to an end and temperatures finally dropping, it’s time to get in the spirit. Philadelphia is an elite place to celebrate the holidays! See where you can enjoy all of the holiday cheer our city has to offer with this curated guide. You won’t want to miss out on any of these holiday events!

Christmas Village

The Christmas Village in Philadelphia is back for its 15th season! If you haven’t checked out the Christmas Village in the past, this is your year. Hundreds of vendors gather in wooden booths, offering a variety of goods, at LOVE Park and Dilworth Park. The village has everything from jewelry, cute holiday gifts, and clothing to unique food and drink options including bratwurst and wine! Plus, there are plenty of glimmering lights and Christmas decor to marvel at. And, did we mention a 65′ Ferris wheel, a carousel, and a choo-choo train for the kids?! This will be the holiday event of the season and it runs from November 19th to December 24th. Visit more than once if you can; it’s so worth it!

Philadelphia Holiday Parade

On December 3 at 5:00 PM, Philadelphia’s Holiday Parade will be taking place for its 2nd year in a row! This parade is the first and only parade in the country that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanza, Chinese New Year, and Christmas all in one. It starts from 2nd & Market Street and travels down East Market Street to make its way toward City Hall and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This route is 1.4 miles long, so it won’t be too difficult to find a spot to catch this colorful parade. Make sure you go see the 2nd annual holiday parade’s dazzling floats, cold air balloons, marching bands, and more!

South Philly Holiday Shopping Bazaar

Philly’s first-ever holiday craft and shopping bazaar will take place at the Mummers Museum on November 30th! From 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, shop ’til you drop while you check out the event’s vendors. This shopping experience is promised to be a fun and exciting way to buy holiday gifts for family and friends this holiday season. General admission tickets are $5 ($1 for kids under 12) and VIP tickets are $10. VIP tickets include one complimentary drink and entry to win the event’s grand prize. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards supporting the Mummers Museum. 3 hours of shopping, crafts, and drinks? Sign us up!

Soultown to Motown Holiday Show

The brand new holiday show, “Soultown to Motown,” is prepared to take the city by storm this holiday season! Live! Casino & Hotel will be hosting The Sensational Soul Cruisers on Sunday, December 18th at 7:00 PM. You’ll see a choreographed band putting on a stellar performance of Motown’s best. Prepare to enjoy the greatest hits of the Jackson Five, the Temptations, the Spinners, Marvin Gaye, and many more iconic Motown classics. Motown Philly, BACK AGAIN! Grab your tickets, starting at $25, and take a musical journey through a medley of iconic music.

Rivers Casino New Year's Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront

To cap off the holiday season, the Rivers Casino will be having its annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront! We know it’s too soon to think about the holiday season ending, but we’ve got to be prepared right? Rivers Casino will offer two fireworks shows on December 31st – at 6:00 PM and midnight. Catch the fireworks before your big NYE night out or make the show your night’s main attraction. Either way, you won’t want the miss the brightest firework show in the area! It’s sure to be an unforgettable finale to the Philly holiday season.
