Griggs Park ?

Griggs Park is a tranquil, urban park with a view of the Dallas skyline. Located in Uptown, this natural area provides opportunities for fun for all ages. Here you can have the uptown Dallas feel, with the peacefulness of a scenic park. With spots for picnics, playgrounds, pet-friendly areas, paved walkways, and plenty of shade, you definitely want to visit one of our favorite parks in Dallas! Keep an eye out for free outdoor events.

Klyde Warren Park ?

Located in the heart of Downtown, Klyde Warren Park is one of our favorite parks in Dallas for a brain break from work or a weekend outing. This oasis thrives among the towering buildings surrounding the 5.2-acre park. If you work from home, consider getting fresh air and sunshine while working in this greenspace and utilizing the park’s free WiFi and ample electrical plugs. This park is also pet-friendly, and has many grassy areas for your furry friends to play in! Visit on the weekends to enjoy events, free workout classes, concerts, and food trucks!

White Rock Lake ?

For a more expansive journey into nature, we recommend exploring White Rock Lake. This 1,015-acre city lake is located about 5 miles northeast of Downtown. Hike or bike on the 9.33-mile trail, bird watch, or picnic around the park.What makes this park unique is the awesome lakeside features it provides. For a true day on the lake, take part in sailing, rowing, paddle boarding, and other aqueous activities.

Trinity Overlook Park ?

There is no shortage of parks in Dallas with gorgeous views of the skyline, and Trinity Overlook Park is another one on that list. This downtown greenspace features long walking paths, architectural shade structures, and plenty of seating. Among the shade structures, you can find informational signs that describe different features of the park!

It doesn’t get any prettier than Turtle Creek Park! This 23.7-acre linear park is an oasis for Dallas residents and visitors alike. This is one of our favorite parks in Dallas for serene walks and picnics. This is the perfect place for a moment of respite from city life, and to take advantage of some awesome picture-perfect moments. The scenery here is the best place to show off your photography skills!

Right off Interstate 75 is an incredible natural retreat called Exall Park. The 10.4-acre community park features an outdoor playground, sports fields, walking trails, picnic grills, and an indoor recreation center. Not only does this park offer a recreation center, but you can also play on the basketball court outside or engage in the awesome playground. You won’t regret going for a stroll in this idyllic park!

Nestled in the heart of the Harwood Street pedestrian corridor, Pacific Plaza is a true urban neighborhood park. This green sanctuary is 3.74 acres in the heart of Downtown. Nestled within the scenic Dallas skyscrapers, this park provides visitors with engaging sights, and a quick getaway from the office life! With spacious walkways and large swings for both adults and kids, this is one of our favorite downtown parks in Dallas!

Addison Circle Park

Addison Circle Park’s 10-acres of nature is often filled with lively events and festivals. Check out their calendar to attend events like Taste Addison, Kaboom Town, Oktoberfest, and Addison After Dark. These Addison events are a must-see! They also have regular outdoor fitness classes. Beyond their exciting events, the park has a pavilion, restrooms, splash pad, public display fountains, and two stages.

This family friendly park offers pool hours for those infamous hot Texas summer days!

Flag Pole Hill Park’s 107 acres offers plenty of space for a breath of fresh air and recreation all in one. Bring the kids to the large playground located within the park, including inclusive features for children and adults of all physical and cognitive abilities. The features of the playground are what makes this visit a must-see! On a windy day, join others in letting out your inner child by flying kites on the hill!

Need to take your dogs for some sunshine and play time? NorthBark Dog Park is an excellent fido oasis in Dallas. There are tons of shaded areas and large play areas for all types of dogs to enjoy! With fenced areas and tons of drinking stations, this is a very safe and fun environment to add a change of pace to your dog’s schedule! Our furry friends need a bit of nature too!
