Thrift with Austin Pets Alive! for gently used, pre-owned clothing items. All proceeds support APA! and they have two locations where you can shop. Revamp your closet and do good at the same time! You know what they say… do good, feel good. It’s for the doggos!
Stardust Vintage has fashion from the 1950’s to Y2K and everything in between! Check out their Instagram below to see current inventory and fashion inspiration, because they have the coolest clothes you wont find anywhere else!
Prototype Vintage Design
Prototype is filled with design inspiration from the past that defines the fashion of modern style. They also offer styling services upon request, and won “Best Cute Clothes” from Austin Chronicle in 2010!
Located on E 6th Street of Austin, Prisma Vintage is a quant local thrift store that carries affordable vintage and designer pieces. They specialize in carrying clothing from the ’50s to the ’90s. Prisma Vintage always tries to bring the community together by offering some sort of giveaway or Holiday special. For example, last Christmas of 2019 they offered a special Holiday sale with various giveaways, free drinks, snacks, and other free goodies. This place is a favorite in Austin because of its great selection, friendly environment, and helpful staff.
Feathers Vintage Boutique
Feathers Boutique has hand-picked vintage items for women. Along with fashionable clothing, they have also expanded to artisan jewelry, as well as gifts and home decor locally made! This is why it’s one of the Best Resale Shops in Austin that we absolutely love!
Room Service Vintage
Packed from top to bottom, front to back, there is something for everyone at this thrift shop. The main specialization is providing a large selection of the 50s-70s furniture as well as lighting, clothing, jewelry, toys, records, art, pottery, books, glassware, kitchenware, and other items you probably didnu2019t know you needed. Room Service Vintage has been so loved by the people of Austin that this thrift shop has won Best Vintage/ Home Furnishings in the Austin Chronicleu2019s Reader Poll for 15 years in a row. Pro Tip: Don’t forget to ask for the key to the bunny bathroom before you leave.
Charm School Vintage
Charm School Vintage is definitely one of my fan favorites. This vintage clothing store is filled with garments that have a story. It is fascinating to me the attention and detail that goes into each piece of clothing that is featured in this store. Each handmade article and piece of clothing displays a part of the culture’s history. At this thrift shop in East Austin, one can find lots of natural fabrics and clothing with rich textures like leather, lace, crochet, velvet, silk, embroidery, beading, and fringe. Each of these clothing pieces is sure to invite a conversation and bring an energy of confidence!
Texas Thrift Store
Texas Thrift Store isn’t quite S. Austin, but it’s pretty dang close and the second hand shop that is also non profit! They have clothes, household items, and electronics, and daily deals! You can even become a Buy Thrift Club member for member only discounts, early bird sales, and access to exclusive events.
Lucy In Disguise with Diamonds
Lucy’s has the best in show wear! From costumes, masks, wigs and makeup, to hats, hosiery, gloves, jewelry, boas, and accessories, you’ll find everything to fit any persona you want to portray. It’s super retro and definitely sticks out on SOCO. You won’t miss it!
