While Pittsburgh is practicing social distancing, many restaurants in Pittsburgh are adjusting their business models to follow the safety guidelines set forth by the virus while still providing their patrons with takeout, delivery, and dine-in options. Here’s a few of our favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh we can’t get enough of!
? The Yard
As the story goes…The Yard started in 2014 three “mortal enemies,” Mike Allen, David Ondik and Sir Nirav Patel created the idea of having a restaurant dedicated to strictly…gourmet grilled cheese! The Yard now has several locations around Pittsburgh, including Market Square, each serving up cold brews alongside uniquely crafted sandwiches! The Yard also offers other options including burgers and gluten free meals!
The best part about The Yard is the personality of the owners shining through in every aspect of the business. Their “About Us” section on their website made us laugh out loud -literally-! They strive to make the environment friendly, upbeat and fun!

They offer two distinct menu options based off of their partner restaurant, Penn Cove Eatery. Their first menu is “conventional”, offering burgers, chicken, and more! Their second menu is all things sushi. If you’re looking to grab a drink and some food after work with your friends, The Warren is a top option!
