SOTO is one of the best sushi restaurants in Austin. One of the reasons we’re obsessed is because the sushi is delicious and it’s in a great location! It’s right across the street from Gibson Street Bar and in the same block as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema South Lamar. You could have a dinner date then keep the night going with a movie or drinks next door!
They have some creative spins on traditional Japanese sushi. We love the spicy edamame, wagyu gyoza, and the o-toro. So good! Omakase at Soto is 175.

Fukumoto is an amazing neighborhood sushi bar in East Austin. The vibes are cozy in this Japanese Pub Style space. It’s encouraged to share a few small plates. We love getting a seat at the bar so that we can watch the chefs in action!
Chef Fukumoto created an amazing menu. All of the sushi is fresh and delicious. For a hot dish, the yakitori is divine. We highly recommend the Buta Bara – miso-glazed pork belly. It’s the perfect salty, savory dish!
