Ten years ago, Krause Springs was a secret spot behind a small house and garden. Now, it is one of the best spots to take in the fresh spring, waterfalls, and beautiful greenery.

? Jacob’s Well Natural Area – Hays County Parks
Jacobs Well has crystal clear waters that make for the perfect, yet chilly, plunge. You also might come across an underwater cave! Be sure to make a reservation before heading out to Wimberley, because Jacobs Well is a spot known and loved by many.

This spring-fed pool is the perfect place to hang outside, at any time of the year. You can enjoy sitting on the hill to take in the sun, or you can brave the cold spring for a refreshing swim.
Note: During the winter, many people take on the polar plunge challenge!

Located in the cute town of Wimberley, this forested spot is a very popular attraction for visitors and locals. In addition to the swimming hole, you can also enjoy volleyball courts, picnic areas, fire pits, and walking trails.

The natural pool was first created when an underground river’s roof caved in. Now, this beautiful pool is one of the hottest spots to hang out.
Swimming conditions are dependent on recent rainfall, so make sure to call ahead to ensure the pool will be open.

Located on the shore of Lake Travis, Hippie Hollow allows guests to enjoy the breathtaking water and beautiful hill country scenery.
Fun fact: It is the only legally recognized, clothing-optional park in the entire state of Texas!

This secret spot has been open and around since 1915!
Water temperatures average around 74 degrees year-round, and you don’t have to wait in a long line to swim. Swim laps in the lap pool or relax while your kids enjoy their own fun in the shallow pool.

Blanco State Park has over 100 acres along the beautiful Blanco River. You can swim anywhere along the river or rent tubes to float down it.
If you get tired of swimming, there are many different places to relax and enjoy the Texas Hill Country landscape.

This state park offers more than just a spot for you to swim. You have the option to camp out for the weekend, have a picnic, hike the falls, mountain bike, ride horses, and more!
Please remember that swimming is allowed in the river and NOT the falls.

There is a hike to find this swimming pool, but it’s super easy to do and so worth it at the end.
The Lost Creek swimming hole is only 15 minutes from downtown, and has free parking in the nearby neighborhoods. The trail begins underneath the bridge and continues for about 20 to 25 minutes. It’s definitely a party vibe with music playing while people are enjoying time in the pool.
