We found a must-try hidden gem in Old East Dallas that you have to try this month! Owner Donny Sirisavath just launched a new concept called Darkoo’s which is located in the former Khao Noodle Shop. Darkoo’s Chicken Shack is a casual restaurant with lots of delicious menu items, a fun chicken mural, and a relaxing outdoor patio. Enjoy delicious Karagee, Panko Tenders, Lao Gai with sides such as Spicy Cucumber Salad, Darkoo’s Cole Slaw, Macaroni Salad and Loa Beer.
Coming to the Dallas Framers Market is always a good idea. Shop local vendors selling local produce, flowers, handmade goods, and more every Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to stop by the farmers Market starting September 18th for their pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch is located at the Shed. They have a huge variety of different sizes, colors, and shapes of pumpkins. You’ll definitely find everything you need for a pretty fall display there.
Tip: If you’re looking for that perfect insta-worthy fall picture without a bunch of people in it, we suggest avoiding the weekends. The pumpkin display is up all week.

Taco lovers, you’re in for a treat! We’ve found a hidden gem taqueria located in a small convenience store on Ceasar Chavez Boulevard that you can’t miss out on. Taqueria El Arquito is a family-owned business with seven locations in the DFW area. We highly recommended trying their famous trompo tacos made with their unique family recipe. Some of our other favorites are the Torta Cubana, Mi Special, Gordita, and their delicious Horchata.
