Let’s cap off spring and tip off summer celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Philly and these awesome restaurants and events!
Happy Cinco de Mayo, Philly! We love celebrating this Mexican holiday by spending it at all of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the city. Cinco de Mayo comes around every May 5th (obvi) and is a huge celebration of Mexican heritage, pride, and culture, and there’s no where better to spend it than at restaurants like El Vez, Añejo, and more! This year, we even have some killer Cinco de Mayo events coming your way.
First and foremost is a bar crawl that’s happening a little early on April 30th: the Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl by Urban Craft & Crawl! After a 2-year hiatus, our favorite bar crawl is back and they’re so excited for you to join. With 10+ bars participating, drink specials, food specials, Cinco swag, and more, get the Cinco season started at this fun bar crawl!

The best frozen blood orange margarita in the city is famously at El Vez! Celebrating Cinco de Mayo at El Vez is always a good idea. El Vez serves up a laundry list of tequila, the best and most creative guac recipes, and the most epic vibes. It’s tough to get a res especially on this holiday, but there’s always a shot you could walk right in! And right when you get to your table, you have to order a frozen blood orange marg- trust us on this.
?? Our favorite bites at El Vez are the Bazooka Limon guac, the Nacho Mama nachos, and the Short Rib Enchiladas ??

Rooftop margs anyone?? We’re in. Another 10/10 option for Cinco de Mayo this year is celebrating in the sky at El Techo! El Techo sits above another great Mexican spot called Condesa. This duo is the 2-for-1 of the season. You can find El Techo by entering through its sister restaurant Condesa and walking straight back to the elevators. You’ll be greeted along the way!
?? We can’t resist the Ceviche or the fresh popsicles ??
