All of our folks out in Spring, you’re going to want to pay a visit to the Old Time Christmas Tree Farm this holiday season. This is a family-owned and operated tree farm that has been providing Christmas trees for families since 1996. The farm consists of 40 acres, and visitors can choose from thousands of beautiful Virginia pines or Cypress trees.
You will have the option to select and cut down your own tree or choose a pre-cut one to take home. 2. The Christmas Tree Lot at Moon Valley Nurseries Katy
If you’re looking for a fresh Christmas tree in Houston, The Christmas Tree Lot at Moon Valley Nurseries in Katy is a perfect place to get one! Moon Valley Nurseries is a full-service landscaping company and nursery, and during the holiday season, they offer amazing fresh Christmas trees.
One of the great things about Moon Valley Nurseries is that they are open 7 days a week, giving you lots of options when it comes to planning your visit. Their convenient location just off of Katy Freeway also makes this is an easy spot to get to from just about any part of town. Be sure to check this place out to find that perfect Christmas tree!
Dewberry Farm is a favorite for families everywhere. With tulip picking in the Spring, a pumpkin patch, and Spooky Hollow in the fall, and farm activities and attractions year-round, Dewberry Farm is a fantastic place to spend the day with your kids. And the fun definitely doesn’t stop around Christmastime. The Christmas tree farm will reopen on Friday, November 26th, allowing guests to select and cut down their very own Christmas tree.
Take a wagon ride through the Christmas Tree Forest to search for your perfect match, and either cut it down yourself or have a team member help you. No admission cost is required to purchase a tree, but if you want to check out the farm’s other activities, you can make a day of it with the Christmas Activity Wristband or tokens. So much fun!

Another one of our fave spots to get a fresh Christmas tree in Houston is Spring Creek Growers, a 100-year old farm in Magnolia, TX. The farm has been owned and operated by the Michel family for four generations, and it has produced vegetables, watermelons, turkeys, and cattle over the years. Nowadays, you can go there for a stunning Virginia Pine or Leyland Cypress tree to help you celebrate the holidays.
You’ll have the option to cut down your own tree or choose one that’s pre-cut, with prices starting at $73 for a 6-foot tree. For an extra dash of holiday magic when you go to pick up your tree, drop in to see Santa and take a few pictures with the kids. Double Creek Farm opened its doors to the public in 2007, and since then it has been providing gorgeous Christmas trees every single December. Prices start at $9 per foot, then $12 per foot once you hit 10 feet. The farm offers Virginia pines and Carolina Sapphires, with cut-you-own and pre-cut options.
As the farm has grown and evolved over the years, several family-friendly activities were added such as hayrides, a hay jump, a playhouse, jungle gym, and more. Once you’ve chosen your tree, feel free to hang around the farm for a bit and enjoy some roasted marshmallows or hot dogs by the fire pit. In the gift shop, you’ll be able to purchase unique hand-crafted gifts, jellies, Christmas ornaments, books, and more. This is truly a wonderful spot to visit with your family!
