One of our favorites is a corned beef sandwiches in pittsburgh. Some may know it as a Rachel or a Reuben, but whatever you call it, it’s delicious! Thinly sliced corned beef piled high with Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, and coleslaw or sauerkraut all on fresh rye bread- YUM. If you’re not super versed in the world of corned beef, have no fear! We went around the city and found the best ones just for you! Check out our guide to the best corned beef sammies in the Burgh!
This Squirrel Hill deli does not disappoint! Serving up Boar’s Head meat on fresh rye bread, Food Shoppe has one of our favorite corned beef sandwiches in the Burgh. Hidden in plain sight, Food for Thought is always fresh and fast! Right in between Shadyside and Oakland, it’s in the perfect spot for a quick lunch during your busy day. There was something about the crusty bread that really held the sandwich together so perfectly. They definitely have more to offer than just a stellar corned beef sammie, but we’ll let you be the judge of what the best one is!

You know it, you love it- Carson Street Deli never disappoints. We truly love everything on their menu but there’s something about the corned beef that really does it for us. Piled high with meat and layered with coleslaw and thousand island dressing, this sandwich is what dreams are made of. Just look at those thin layers of fresh corned beef! On the edge of the Strip, Smallman Street Deli is a must-stop spot on your corned beef tour. Although we are usually a fan of a cold Rachel, their Reuben is what caught our attention. There’s something about the taste when they heat it up that really makes the sandwich. You should probably just try it for yourself!
