2. Lou’s Eastside

If you haven’t had a Lou’s milkshake, you must! This entire Austin outdoor restaurant has plenty of areas for a dog to sit back and relax as you enjoy a casual meal. Not to mention, they have late night happy hour too if your little baby doesn’t like the heat.

This East Austin space was originally used during and post WWII to build airplane and industrial parts. Now, several decades later, it is a popular beer hall and brewery!

Central Machine Works kept the industrial feel with modern decor and a ginormous outdoor patio space. It is the perfect spot to hang with your pet, and they can even come inside with you!

For the past five years, Blue Owl Brewing has brought Austin clean and balanced sour beers. Their tasting room allows for every Austinite to find their perfect drink to enjoy with friends and dogs!

5. Haymaker

Midwestern and Northeastern inspired comfort food and beer. Haymaker is the perfect place to grab a bite and hang out for a while, with your pup or people. They also have sweet happy hour specials every day of the week!

We are convinced it is a requirement for Haymaker staff to LOVE dogs because they all do, which makes this spot all the better!

6. Southern Heights Brewery

Southern Heights’ taproom is fun, funky, and welcoming for the whole group, including your furry friend. They are one of the few spots in Austin that is dog friendly inside the building!

They bring some of the freshest ale to East Austin. with seasonal and exclusive beers. In our opinion, they offer some of the best brews the Austin beer scene has!
