6 Delicious Donut Shops in Houston You Must Try

A Story By

Whether you’re craving them in the morning or late at night, donuts always sound like a good idea! We can’t even begin to list out all of the insanely good places to buy these sweet treats, but what we can do is provide you with our top donut shops in Houston!

Here’s our list of 6 delicious donut shops you need to try!

If you’re interested in getting a sugar rush, Glazed the Doughnut Cafe is the place to go, ladies and gents!

Focusing on specialty doughnuts, Glazed offers some of the best hand made sweets in the city! You can find just about any type of flavored donut you can think of to satisfy those late night munchies – including french toast crunch, smores, fruity pebbles, chocolate oreo, and bacon!

Monday-Sunday | Open 24 Hours

📍1333 Old Spanish Trail Set E, Houston, TX 77054

They’re almost as sweet as the name. Hugs & Donuts is like the dream donut shop you often fantasized about as a young child. Whether you’re looking for something traditional or you’re feeling adventurous to try some funky flavors, this donut shop has just what you’re looking for!

Enjoy a nice morning with their old fashioned cake donut or experience a food coma with their Maple Bacon Yeast Donut – regardless of whichever one you end up choosing, you won’t regret it!

Monday-Thursday | 7AM-2PM
Friday-Saturday | 7AM-6PM
Sunday | 8AM-5PM

📍1901 N Shepherd Dr #4, Houston, TX 77008

It’s almost like the donut gods heard our prayers whenever a VooDoo Doughnut opened up in the area. What more can be said about this cult classic other than it’s the ultimate donut spot in the city?

Other than the fact that VooDoo Doughnut is seriously one of the coolest shops you’ll ever visit, the sweets here will very much blow your mind –  which is why we consider it one of the best donut shops in Houston!

While every flavor here is worth a try, we recommend The Homer (a Simpsons inspired donut dipped in strawberry flavored frosting and smeared with sprinkles), Old Dirty Bastard (yeast donut with chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies, and peanut butter), and the VooDoo Doll (donut filled with raspberry jelly topped with chocolate frosting and a pretel stake).

Monday-Sunday | Open 24 Hours

📍3715 Washington Ave Suite A, Houston, TX 77007

We can all appreciate a traditional donut shop with simple flavors, so if you’re ever in the mood for just that then we suggest you hit up Christy’s Donuts & Kolaches! Though many of us are fans of the bizarre flavors some of our previous favs include, there really is nothing quite like an old fashioned glazed donut before heading to work in the morning.

Pair it up with a kolache and a warm cup of joe and watch your day get 10 times better!

Monday-Saturday | 4AM-2PM
Sunday | 5AM-2PM

📍1103 W Gray St, Houston, TX 77019

Serving some of the most unique flavors, Hurts Donut Co. is the definition of having a party in your mouth! I mean, seriously, who doesn’t want to try the cotton candy donut? Or the White and Nerdy? Or the English Gentlemen?

We can almost guarantee you won’t find flavors like these anywhere else. Don’t believe us? Check out their menu and see for yourself!

Monday-Sunday | 6AM-11PM

📍5801 Memorial Dr A, Houston, TX 77007

Despite the name, B&B Donuts actually offers a wide variety of food including burgers and sandwiches; however, if you’re craving something sweet then the donut selection from this shop will surely fulfill those desires!

Plus, you can’t beat the prices here! Grab a dozen donut holes to go for about a dollar!

Monday-Sunday | 9AM-3PM

📍515 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006
