The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has returned for 2023 and it is back and better than ever! This festival is running from now until July 5th, so you have plenty of time to experience this festival. Flower and Garden is included with theme park admission, but you will need a park reservation.
Let’s break down all the fun you can experience at Flower and Garden this year! ?
As you make your way through EPCOT, you are going to want to stop to smell the flowers…LITERALLY! During Flower and Garden, Disney Parks brings beloved characters to life through flowers and they make for some super fun photo stops! This year EPCOT has added two new additions: Encanto and Tiana. You can find Encanto at the entrance to EPCOT, while Tiana is in the America Pavilion. Other characters include Figment, Elsa and Anna, Mickey and Minnie, and so many more! The topiaries are spread all throughout EPCOT and not just in World Showcase, so make sure you take the time to explore the whole park. Flower and Garden also has their “Global Gardens” which feature plants from around the world and help to educate about sustainable food.
If the smell of the flowers doesn’t captivate you, wait until you smell the food – or taste it! EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival is home to over TWENTY kitchens that capture flavors from around the world and bring them to EPCOT. Some of our favorite items we tried this year were the Creamy Shrimp Udon, Frushi, and the Banana’s Foster Bread Pudding. When you arrive, make sure you pick up a festival passport which will have all the menus. Want to take a look before you go? Disney Parks also has all the menus available on their website!
One thing you can always look forward to with any of EPCOT’s festivals is incredible entertainment. This year the Garden Rocks Concert Series returns to the America Gardens Theater to give guests a rocking time! These concerts are included with your park admission, but the lines can get really long. This year’s line up includes Simple Plan, Plain White T’s, Smash Mouth, Daughtry, and so many more. If you are looking for a way to skip those long lines and guarantee your seating, I highly recommend checking out the Garden Rocks Dining Package. This Dining Package is offered at eight different locations and varying costs. You can book it online or by calling Disney!
If the guests in your party are adults or kids, one thing that is always fun is opting to do one of the EPCOT scavenger hunts. At Flower and Garden guests can choose to do up to three different scavenger hunts as they make their way through EPCOT.
The first is the Garden Graze. This one you can find on the very last page of your Festival Passport. As you make your way through the festival, there are five different food items you can purchase to complete this and get your soft serve in a souvenir Flower and Garden cup.
The other two scavenger hunts are going to be Spike’s Pollination Exploration and EGGstravaganza 2023. For Pollination Exploration you will make your way through EPCOT searching for Spike the Bee in different gardens inspired by different parts of the world. If you have younger ones in your party I do like this one because it has an educational aspect. The EGGstravaganza is different Easter Eggs hidden throughout World Showcase. This one is cute, but this prize is a little lesser. Guests will get to pick from one character egg where for the Spike one you get to choose between a cup or plate featuring different characters.

Butterfly Landing presented by AdventHealth is a must-stop for Flower and Garden! Located near Imagination, this butterfly pavilion will get you up close and personal with gorgeous butterflies as well as colorful flowers. This makes another great spot for some cool photo opportunities!
EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival is truly the most stunning time at EPCOT. There is beauty everywhere you look and it elevates EPCOT in a way that makes it even more magical than it already is. When the sun sets, make sure you end your night by taking in the updated Spaceship Earth Show for Flower and Garden which is the perfect way to end the night!
