The Texas Discovery Gardens is an outdoor treasure in Dallas. The well-manicured gardens feature seasonal blooms and are an educational experience for all ages. Valet parking is located at Mi Cocina on the northbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway access road. Valet is $15 for park patrons and $5 for those dining at Mi Cocina with validation.
Visit The Museum of Art
The Dallas Museum of Art has a rich history dating back to 1903 when the Dallas Art Association was founded by a group of 50 citizens at a meeting. Their community programs range from adults to families to individual classes and workshops. The exhibits from artists around the world are on display from paintings, sculptures, and art of all mediums on display. Plan to stay all day and eat lunch in their cafe, their menu includes soups, salads, handcrafted sandwiches, and a selection of regional wines and beers on tap. It’s a fun yet cultural experience.
Children's Aquarium Dallas
Swim over and learn about aquatic creatures from around the world. With visual and hands-on exhibits, the Children’s Aquarium will bring out the kid in you. Explore this educational venue and browse through the exhibit halls – tip: bring your camera, there will be lots of smiles and photo opportunities.
Feed and interact with the stingrays in the outdoor pavilion. This is a great venue to book a birthday party! Don’t let the cold or rainy day keep you in, come out and play with the sea life. Adult admission is $13.95.
Play Another Round

Stroll Through The Dallas Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum is another fun activity that doesn’t break the bank. Enjoy a scenic walk through the plants, flowers, shrubs, and seasonal featured exhibits. There are many photo opportunities amongst the lush floral displays and arbors of tree-covered pathways. Each part of the garden is labeled to educate you on the seasonal beauties planted here – and look out for the rabbits too, they are plenty.
Annual memberships can be purchased online and grant you six guest passes for their garden events. They even host cooking classes and garden classes if you want to help your thumb turn green. Daily admission ranges from $10-$16.
