If you’re not planning your outings with accompanying social media posts, what even is the point? Just kidding! But isn’t it fun to visit insta worthy spots for the holidays?
We made a list of our favorite instagrammable spots in Austin with the cutest atmosphere to make sure you’re getting the most postable content possible!
Of course, we all know the Domain is absolutely beautiful during the holiday season. This year, we swear it’s better than before! The northside has many presents, trees, and lights to have as many photo ops as you would like. It’s pretty to see during the daytime and even prettier at night. Some spots are even perfect for the whole family to take a photo in front of!
? Anytime | Lights turn on after 8 pm
? Domain Northside | 11821 Rock Rose Ave, Austin, TX 78758
We spend so much time at Wonder Bar because they always have the best decor. Halloween and the holidays are some of our favorites, so we are very happy to have the trees back! Every corner of the bar has a new photo spot. The outdoor patio even has a ski lodge set up where you can take a photo on the ski lift!
? MON – FRI – 3 pm – 2 am
? SAT – SUN – 12 pm – 2 am
? 11500 Rock Rose Ave Suite D, Austin, TX 78758
Miracle on 5th is probably one of our favorite locations during the holidays! The drinks are always so fun; each room is just covered from floor to ceiling in the best decor you can find. Make sure to get your Dasher Pass online before heading there; it can be such a long line, and this will help you skip that! The tables are all first come first serve and there will be no reservations so having that Dasher Pass would help! We loved the Bad Santa and Porter’s Coffee Break last year and can’t wait to taste them again this year! The best part is that they are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

For those classier photos on Instagram, we suggest heading to the Driskill Hotel and their Cafe for some photos! It’s elegant and classy. On November 22, The Driskill will also transform every corner of the hotel for the holidays which is always an especially magical time of year at the property. Each space is thoughtfully decked out with festive lights and holiday decorations, from the famous Driskill Bar to the grand staircase and the 16-foot Douglas Fir tree in the lobby. This tree will be open to the public on December 1st. Plus, there’s an abundance of holiday teas, cocktails and dishes to be enjoyed at the famous Driskill Bar or 1886 Cafe & Bakery where live music can be enjoyed each night from 8 to 10 p.m

The South Pole at Geraldine’s is a very magical place! This is one of the only places in the city for you to get your own igloo to enjoy some holiday cheer or holiday beer. Their fun holiday drinks will warm your soul and get you in the mood for the season!

Kitty Cohen’s will be taken over by “Get Lit”, a concept dreamed up in 2019 by Kitty Cohen’s owners Josh Brownfield and Jeremy Murray. “I love all the holiday pop-up bars this season, and I thought Hanukkah deserves one as well.” Brownfield said. “In the spirit of Kitty Cohen’s this Hanukkah pop-up will be all about fun.” The pop-up will start November 28th this year and run until the month’s end.
Brownfield and the team will take over the bar with lively decorations and feature a special menu with Hanukkah-inspired cocktails, though the regular drink menu will still be available. Some examples of cocktails on the menu are; Maccabee’s Knees, Oy Fashioned and Latke Punch, a play on the traditional Hanukkah potato pancake dish, made with potato vodka, apple cider, ginger liqueur, and lemon.

? SAT–SUN | 12PM–2AM
?2211 Webberville Rd. Austin, TX 78702
There is a gigantic tree right outside of Macy’s with some nutcracker men the size of us! This side of the Domain also has a bunch of other little photo spots with presents and reindeer. Make sure to search for all the options and stop into some of the shops. Almost all of them already have their window cases decorated for the holiday as well!
? Anytime | Lights turn on at 8pm!
?Macy’s | 3311 Esperanza Xing Austin, TX 78758
Lucille’s is back and better than ever. Literally, they emailed us saying, “we are going bigger and better than ever with our holiday decorations this year.” We can’t wait to see what they have this year! This year we already noticed this beautiful snowy sky ceiling, and that’s just a little of what they already had up!

The most extravagant holiday bar in our opinion. They always have the most amazing decorations for Halloween and they go just as crazy for the Holiday season as well. Definitely a must-see!

?FRI – SUN 12 PM – 2 AM
? 1109 South Lamar, Austin 78704
Mozart’s light show is an Austin classic. If you haven’t been, you must check it out. They have the largest light show we have ever seen. Make your reservation online for a table. Once you’re there enjoy the largest pretzels, delicious hot cocoa, and some other treats!
? SUN-SAT | 7AM – 12AM
? 3825 Lake Austin Blvd, Austin, TX 78703
Like the rest of the Domain, the iPic grass area has another enormous tree! All the pathways have trees lit up and holiday garland wrapped around the street lamps. Definitely, the quieter side of the domain so if you were looking for no line to take a photo, this is the spot for you!
? Anytime | Lights turn on after 8 pm
?3225 Amy Donovan Plaza Austin, TX 78758
